And possibly the cost of all four combined. Seriously though, 400-500 points easy unless if's got more like Pred stats for toughness and armour. Even then I'd imagine it'll be 300. I'm not one to let that get in my way though!

Landspeeders which are extremely difficult to produce and no one really knows how to develop, Landspeeders which used to be a lot more varied in their designs (30K) but have now been reduced down to one base chassis with a few variants created by adding on or ripping out weapon systems and ammunition bays.
Grav tech that has been on the decline in the Imperium of man, and that mankind does not know how to make or develop.
So yes, lacks grav tech.

I'm not a fan of this weird feeling of "hope" that the Imperium is starting to have, I kind of prefered my crumbling empire on the verge of collapse, using 10k year old tractors with battle cannons stuck on them. This whole things smells of techno- heresy to me.
I was really hoping, when I heard about the "Dark-Imperium", that it was going to be about the resistance to Guiliman from established Imperial hierarchy, leading to a civil war of sorts. It seems that he came in and overturned 10k years of dogma and everyone just went along with it...

Im really digging the base model.
i can probably do without all the crazy attachments
the only thing i REALLY hate about it is the pintle mounted assault? cannon.
its the same one off IG taurox. everything else looks awesome as a SM vehicle.

I agree. The nice thing about 30k and 40k are the difference in tone. The galaxy of the heresy is, at the beginning at least , a way different and arguably more optimistic one.
One of the things that make 40k special is the fact that the Imperium is a post-technology leviathan.
The tone and what makes faction specific is going to be all over the place, following this trend.

Quite frankly this looks utterly stupid, and not just because the Imperium categorically lacks Grav tech t the point that even in its finest hours it lacked the ability to create new designs. Just look at this thing, it has:
A twin lascannon in the hull
A lascannon in the turret
A coaxial Heavy Stubber/Autocannon
A pintle mounted oversized Gatling
Missile pods bolted onto the turret cheeks
Missile pods bolted onto the turret sides
Missile pods bolted on over the side hatches
Missile pods bolted onto the rear
What looks like freaking transport capacity
The hull is pretty much a landraider with the tracks ripped off
All this and more on a magic floating Landraider. It sounds stupid because looks stupid because it is stupid. There is no way a chassis that size can support that many weapon systems, let alone transport troops as well, and it just lacks any reason to exist. Not to mention the stupid idea of a tank being a Tank Destroyer, a MBT, an APC, a Missile Destroyer and a MLRS system all at once.
It works by space magic and it has all those guns because space magic and it flies because space magic and the whole setting function because space magic.
40k isn't a milsim, it's an over-the-top 80s heavy metal album cover. Honestly the only thing I'm disappointed with is that it doesn't have some sick fins or like lightning coming out of the tailpipes.

Since when have Marines ever had stubbers? My vanquishers are going to cry.
Power level 14
S7 T8 W13 Sv3+
Turret - Heavy Lascannon, Heavy Stubber
*Resolve shots with Heavy Stubber first, if the Heavy Lascannon targets a unit hit by the Stubber, it may reroll misses
Hull-mounted Twin Lascannon, swivels up/down and left/right
Rotor cannon is a pintle mounted upgrade
Missiles: Roll a D6 at the start of each fight phase for each enemy unit within 1", on a 4+ it takes D3 mortal wounds (slightly better Frag Assault Launchers)
Transport Capacity 7, can only transport Primaris Marines
Decays its Movement/BS/Attacks as it loses wounds
Movement 10" BS 3+ Attacks 3 base

So they knicked the Leman Russ Vanquishers special ability (after GW removed the coaxial weapon from the base Vanquisher...) and gave it to an SM hovertank in an army that has no history of stubber use?

The Techno-heresy is strong with the Primaris. I think we need a new Macharius to rise up and deal with this filth. (Seriously GW, just write a loyalist civil war of some kind and I would be all over it.)

I would so be right there as well. The potential for the Primaris to be much darker than originally intended is very enticing from a lore perspective.

Is it me or GW is working overtime in an attempt to make Primaris Marine the best thing in the world since hot water. And I used to think the Space Marines mythos was heavy on power fantasy...
On a side note, the tank is still pretty nice, but the pintle mounted assault canon is a bit much (making it a gorud vehicle might have been nicer in my opinion). I still prefer the more classic design of the Predator, but this one is nicer than the Land Raider.
Does anybody know what a heavy lascanon is supposed to be capable of doing?
