This army can be anything based around Space Marines, including Chaos Space Marines, Grey Knights, regular chapters, etc. I would make this into a poll, but due to the wide range of choices, I think it'd be best to just post your choice.

Primaris Marines, whatever they come up with to make it an actual army.

I am planning on starting both a Death Guard and Primaris army for 8th Edition, since the new Starter Set lends towards that really well and these seem to be the poster-boy factions of 8th Edition.

I will also be "fiinshing" my current Space Marine/Wolf army, getting a few more characters and units finished up that I haven't got around to yet.

Generic marines.

Make a paint scheme you like, but nothing too bright and cheery.

Use which every codex tickles you that day. UM, BA, Chaos, SW...etc. Doesn't work for Grey Knights though, their gear is too different.

Primaris is the only stickler at the moment, but you could just use all primaris marines and count them as true scale marines in a chaos army.

Crimson Sabres - If GW retconnes my Crimson Slaughter, otherwise i'd go for Astral Knights.

Buy 30 Marines & 1 Dread and fill the Ranks with Primaris.

Already have a Imperial Fist army that will be getting a nice light dose of adeptus restartes

but if i had to do a fresh army than maybe some chaos

always wanted to do a red corsair kinda army with a lot of character.

I threw together some Imperial Fists to get some games in, but my focus is Black Templars. So I'm voting Templars. Because you can never crusade enough.

I'm starting a narrative-based force centering around a band of Thousand Sons lost in the warp en route to Prospero during the early days of the Heresy and struggling mightily to ward off the Flesh Change by any means necessary.

It totally works for Grey Knights. I painted some up to match my orange/brown/off-white Space Wolves, and it works pretty darn well! Sure, the WYSIWYG equipment loadouts can be an issue, and that can apply to Thunderwolves or Centurions, but a Grey Knight Dreadnought matches closely enough to other Chapters, and if you want guys in Power Armor with Storm Bolters and Hammer/Swords/Halberds (like maybe a Command Squad or Sternguard) then that could work as well.

I have been mixing in quite a few Grey Knight bits in my Iron Hands/Space Wolves army for years now - best selection of Power Swords and Thunder Hammer bits around!
