I preordered my 8th edition books and they shipped last Friday and yet all I'm getting is:

No scheduled delivery date available at this time.

From FedEx. Seems a bit sketchy. Anyone else running into issues?

FedEx sucks dude. But, I had an issue myself recently. Preordered the new starter, as well as a can of macragge blue spray and a few pots of paint. Order was pending for several days past release, so I called on Tuesday. Seems they ran out of the spray (not too shocking) so my order was waiting to be shipped until they had it. He checked with their warehouse to make sure it was being taken care of for me while I was on the line. Later that evening, it updated and had shipped out.

Long story short, ring them up. The GW customer support is second to none.

Everything's fine o'er here in the UK. Ordered my new Index at 2 am on Tuesday, got dispatched by 10am on Wednesday, arrived by midday on Thursday.

Possibly that's just Royal Mail efficiency vs FedEx though.

Mainly that Royal Mail has to move it a very short distance where FedEx is moving it on the other side of the world.

True, unless GW has a *relatively* close-by dispatch office/warehouse.

Srsly though, these guys can get a package from Cornwall to the north of Scotland in under 24 hours.

I'd be more impressed if I hadn't had a couple of deliveries from China that arrived to the UK in under 48hrs. In fairness, between my immediate family members (not including myself), there have been over 85 yrs of service to the RM, so I've grown up hearing the worst of it, added to the problems I've had first hand.

Yes, my order is late too.

I pre-ordered from GW and FW on the first day available.

I received my FW order yesterday.

My GW order shipped Sunday according to the e-mail I received.

Apparently UK to NJ is faster then Memphis, TN to NJ...
