Just started playing again. I am going over my old projects. Seems like i was trying to assemble 3 mawlock/trygon kits. 2 pf them are mawlocks. But what is the trygon? Is it a trygon or a trygon prime? What diferemciate them?

Prime has a bunch of spines and a different head/jaws. And different tail options, I believe.

If I remember the Trygon Prime has a different head crest (spikier one). That's about it though. I just built mine up badass and call it whichever one need be depending on which one my list needs.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

No player you face will be able to tell the difference betwen a Trygon and a Trygon prime, for wysiwyg purposes just build it with the parts you like. For the tail however they now have different rules, i recommend the rattle snake tail because they allow you not to waste an attack with a tail attack.

I think the rattlesnake tail is trygon prime only? Mine is glued with that tail, så maybe I can replace it so I can switch more easaly.

I have 3 of the kits that I bought used from someone. He mixed them up so that no kit is 100% any particular model, everything is a Mawloc-Trygon-Prime hybrid. I've always just been clear on what's what, and nobody has given me grief over the 3-4 years I've been using them. Even when I point it out, the response is usually 'It's not like anyone can really tell, anyways.'

That is so awesome. Why didn't I think of that!
