War walkers come with dual shuriken cannons, but do you still need to add 12+12 points for them, or are they included in the base cost of the war walker?? Do you only add extra points if you upgrade to other heavy weapons?

you have to pay for them. that is the base loadout, but it is not included in the cost.

They are not included. You pay for all wargear (except on characters who's appendix entry specifically says (includes wargear).

This is made clear on the 'Craftworlds Points Values' page.

Otherwise, dark reapers are cheaper than guardians.

Every day I can see why GW decided to simplify things. This is so simple, why do people have trouble with it. It literally says "does not include wargear".

though there are sometimes I wonder if they forgot this when pointing a few units. it'd explain some of the odder points disreprencies I bet

well some units get their weapons or gear included for free, some dont. the forum exists for us to ask questions to be extra sure. "its sooo simple" yeah it is simple enough but it doesnt hurt to double check.
