So a GKSS is 21pts, while a Intercessor Parine is 20pts.
Stats the same except the Parine has 2W.
GKSS has Rapid Fire 2 and DS ability.
Parine has -1AP and 30".

Which is better?

GKSS have power weapons

Yeah, telling people how this and that is 'garbage' and they should just throw their minis into the trash as they're not as efficient as XYZ.

Very different units. The gks are hard-hitting while the intercessors are tanky.

Strike squads can deep strike or ride in a rhino. They are good at brining their weapons to where they are needed.

Intercessors won't do anything like as much damage per turn, but they ought to live longer and keep doing damage. They are designed to hang out in cover shooting stuff, while stood on an objective.

Fixed that. But yeah. GKSS can be spammed very cheaply for lots of smite, they deepstrike, and have good weapons.

One's a glass cannon, the other's a durable front-liner. Strike Squads die just as easily as normal Marines but hit over twice as hard in both shooting and assault. Intercessors don't massively amp the damage up over Tacticals per-point-spent but they're a pain to get rid of. Strike Squads and Intercessors are incredibly dissimilar units. Strikes have a major versatility advantage of course.

True. Against most targets, they do less.

Efficiency is the highest virtue.
