It was my kids' miniature gaming club today and we played a game of my homebrew game based off my Diesel Punk series The Angaran Chronicles. It was the main characters Anargrin and Raleas with a couple of squads of elite commandoes vs Jaroaite/Jaroaian extremists (reaching across sectarian lines, awww) led by a militant Priest of Jaroai. The cultists trying to help a Jaroai a horrible eldritch abomination penetrate the veil from the Dimension between Dimensions. Anargrin and company having to kill the four summoners before the end of the 4th round. We ran out of time so I just had the Jaroai appear (Anargrin and the others would've likely failed to stop it anyway) The sight of the Jaroai drove the two squads of soldiers go mad with fear and run off the board the second they saw it, as they lost their opposed Willpower Test. Was a lot of fun, lol.

Then i ran a scenario mission for a group of players- an elite assault lance trying to capture a base against a company of defending urban mechs-

Have a Campaign coming up and needed to play the first 2 missions.

Yesterday was the kid's game club again. It was Grimdark Future, 2500pts of The Crew of the Orray (A faction I made in Army Forge Studio based on the characters and factions from the sci-fi novel I'm working on) vs Independent Inquisition (based on Attelus Kaltos and the rest of the Inquisition faction in Secret War), allied with Custodian Brothers. The game was quite one-sided; the Crew of the Orray just reaped havoc upon the Inquisition.

But despite this, it ended in a tie thanks to one guy, the former commissar Delan Tathe, managing to single-handedly keep the numerous militia from scoring the objective. He was the MVP for the Inquisition, easily, and MVP for the whole game, lol. It's cool to see one normal, albeit badass, guy being so effective in a battlefield with mech suits and superhuman warriors.

Who would have though 5 years ago that Warmachine would have better terrain than 40K?

Very funny, i hate 2d terrain, i understand why WM/H players like it but i never will, my tables have to look nice.


Our turn out was actually kind of small tonight.

We have a bit of warmachine happening.

A (cheap) greater demon threatens the Tau this afternoon in the shops Armageddon Crusade.

I played a game with my good friend yesterday, and one of the highlights was his C'tan and monolith being ambushed from behind by a deepstrike of my GUO

Game 3 in my narrative Kill Team campaign (https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/817553.page) finished and this time Khorne favoured his minions. The ritual was completed and princess Rh'Aiann is dead, with the Aspect Warrior task force severely mauled. It was an - appropriately - bloody affair with only 1 Eldar and 2 Bloodletters standing at the end of the game, but victory in every category went to the daemons, with the harpoon wielding Bloodletter becoming Khorne's chosen and retaining the +1A bonus for his harpoon launcher for future battles.

My friends and I hosted our annual Tanksgiving game. It was an 8 way free for all king of the hill scenario. Random deployment, random demons popping up on the board. All in all a very un-serious game of 40K

Broke out my admech against both the crimson fists and black templar.....so many yellow marines in disguise....

And some Ghar from antares, got a great deal on both, loads cheaper than anything official from GW. and far easier to transport. i also wanted to stay with my spider walking army theme so it works out.
