Wow.. just absolutely beautiful work.

The old Aspect Warrior (and Guardian actually) sculpts still stand up so well, even against modern miniature ranges. As you say I think the only modern sculpt that's a marked improvement is the Dire Avenger, and even those only look average because the rest of the range is so amazing.

I got into the hobby because of WD127, the Eldar issue, where most of them were introduced. All of these miniatures, the Jes Goodwin art and stories - it was a beautiful collection of work.

Are there any more miniatures ready in the work list? I can't wait!

I agree, well painted. I made sure that all my Aspect Warriors besides the Dire Avengers are the old metals I bought on Ebay, I love them.

The original! It all started in 1999. There was no official Wave Serpent model around and I really wanted one for my Eldar army.
I then noticed a conversion idea from a guy named Roy Bann. I ordered his conversion plans and started working on my Serpent.
I took a lot from his ideas, but also added some personal twists - and of course: a way better paintjob. ;-)
The turret was the usual spoon solution, all the rest is made out of plasticard and some pieces from a Fire Prism kit.

I decided to rework the model.

Off with the clunky wing extensions and the too big midsection.
The energy field emitter are from the OOP Forge World Eldar vehicle upgrade kit, same goes for the twin linked Starcannons.

Old Jet Bikes with toady’s bases! Maybe I overdid it, but I really went to town adding GW alien plants, pebbles and some heads from Scibors basing range!

Oh these Eldar are so awesome! I have my own small force with a few painted models, some old some new. I'm super jealous of all those original metal Guardians, I love those guys!

I love these old metal Eldar-- they were my first army back in RT, and even after several purges of the backlog and unused models in my collection, I still have pretty much all of them.

Now showing The Fellowship of the Ring, along with some Dreadball Captains!

Painting total as of 4/13/2024: 31 plus a set of modular spaceship terrain

Painting total for 2023: 79 plus 28 Battlemechs and a Dragon-Balrog
