I had not realized that you could access Legion traits if you had a DETACHMENT from a specific legion. I thought your whole army had to be from that Legion.

Is that valid for all Legion unique stuff?

Not sure, because they normally say "if your army is battle forged" --- which is a bit vague. I know it's been asked before but I never saw the answer. I'm curious.

I had just assumed your whole list had to belong to a certain legion, but then I read this from today's legion focus:

As with the Space Marine Chapters, Legion Traits are awarded by Detachment. This means you’re free to add other forces of Chaos to assist your Legion, whether you’re taking support from Renegades or a pack of Daemons. If you’re feeling particularly clever, you could take Detachments from Legions based on role – perhaps three units of Havocs and a Sorcerer from the Alpha Legion, and three units of Berzerkers and a Chaos Lord from the World Eaters. As well as using the Detachment system, every Chaos Space Marines army can include Fabius Bile or any Fallen units in their army without losing their Legion Trait.

Each unit in each detachment has to share a Legion keyword to get access to the legion trait. The video of the rulebook spelled that part out.

There was nothing indicating each detachment had to share a Legion trait. So I assume that's fine. Just remember that Legion traits only apply to infantry, biker and helbrute units. No other models benefit from the legion traits.

Do we know if cultists get the legion traits as well if they are in the same detachment?

Why wouldn't they? They're an infantry unit with the <LEGION> keyword.

Who knows with changes. Just want to confirm my WE cultists get 3 attacks on the charge.

The article today also notes that Fabulous Bill and Dark Angels don't mess with the legion benefits, because reasons.

Presumably because they still don't have a Legion tag at all. Which begs the follow up question can they still not board transports for the same reason?

Clearly our heresy-era ancient rhinos and land raiders are not fabulous enough for Bile, while Cypher and his Fallen can't stand to be held in a confined space for more than 3 seconds before escaping.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.
