Hello Dakka,

Battalion, World Eaters
Kharn
Dark Apostle
Five units (MSU) of Berzerkers with chain axes, Champ with power fist
Five rhinos

Spearhead, Iron Warriors
Chaos Lord
Five units of Havocs, each unit has two lascannons and two autocannons.

Plan is simple, the berzerkers rhino rush forward with Kharn and the dark apostle. Havocs sit in cover with the lord. A boring list, but it is feasible? I've got points left over. I can drop Kharn for a different HQ, too. The new aspiring champion?

Well, it's pretty simple in it's way to work. However, Berzerkers are already fantastic all by themselves.

Alpha Legion would probably be better for your havocs. The increase in durability is better than the situational cover bonus. Especially as they're kitted out for MC/Vehicle killing - and cover is rare for them.

Alpha Legion is a good idea. I'll have to play test those rules, too.

Why Aye Ya Canny Dakkanaughts!

1. It would be helpful if you posted the list in the set up that most users use:
Berzerkers
- PowerFist
- 4xChainaxes
- 5xChainswords
- Icon of Wrath
- 114pts
It's much easier to follow and make suggestions for.

2. I'd give the Zerkers all Icon of Wrath to make sure they get into cc.

3. How big are the Zerker units? If they are 5 man units you can save on Rhinos and just take 3. If they are 10 man units then Kharn and the Apostle will have no where to ride.

4. Zerkers aren't troops anymore (cause screw us World Eaters) so you'll need a Vanguard detachment.

5. We now have Exalted Champions which give re-roll to wound auras, I'd definitely grab one for your WE detachment.

6. Alpha Legion are definitely a better option for your Havoc detachment.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Mr Happy Face, great suggestions! I've read and heard that Berzerkers can't be troops any longer, then it was different on the next podcast I listened to. So, they can't be troops any longer. That sucks in a big way!

From what I gather berzekers don't have a 'troop' profile in the new codex so people are saying they can't be troops. I'm gonna wait for clarification though cause it's been said to use the most recent datasheet for units and even if they don't have a 'troop' profile in the dex, can't I use the one in the index since nothing replaces it?

How do you get 114 points ? I have 106 with the codex. Maybe the powerfist which now is only 12 instead of 20 points.

What is the purpose of the dark apostle as we already have karn for rerolls ? To split our units ?

Also with the points saved with rhinos, you could maybe add 20 cultists to deny deep strikes turn 1 if you loose it. And if you replace 4 autocanons by 4 heavy bolters you can even take 10 additional cultists to have bataillon detachment and a total of 8 CP !

Aye, I forgot about the PF point reduction.

As for saving on rhinos, 2 rhinos are just over 140pts and 10 man cultist units are 40pts now, so you could easily get 3 units from just the rhinos and still have points left over.
