There are certain kits that have practically timeless designes now.

The Sm rhino and Dreadnought are both pretty much impossible to replace in my mind

Don't worry, I'm sure they'll get phased out too. All the Land Raiders replaced with Spartans, all the Drop Pods replaced with Assault Claws, all the Dreadnoughts replaced with bigger dreadnoughts, and all the Rhinos replaced with some even bigger Rhino.

It's called a thick skin. The Jersey born have it innately.

I can just see it now. 3 months from now they will release the "Primaris Rhynos Hover Transport". It will be armed with a "Fragstorm Bolter" that shoots 4 S4 AP-1 shots at 24", Assault of course. There will also be a variant to mount that ridiculous turret thing from the Repulsor at the expense of half the transport capacity. And can only transport non-gravis Primaris models.

EDIT: Oh and for some reason it can deepstrike too.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

I like my threads like I like my coffee, bitter. I hope they don't ever replace the current rhino though, and the RT one looks like it could be a knights shoe.

I would definitely say some of the older kits have aged really well, the Rhino being one of them. There really isn't any reason to update the kit; I find them easy to assemble despite certain issues. Other older kits, like Khorne Berzerkers, are very dated and goofy-looking (hence why I'm using AoS Bloodreavers for my Berzerkers). I didn't realize that SM bikes go all the way back to 2nd edition; that's pretty cool actually, although the kit itself is kind of a PITA to put together. They still look pretty cool even next to newer bike kits (like Ravenwing Black Knights).

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

The heavy stubber which acts as a sight for the other guns giving you +1 to hit with other weapons for each stubber round that hits.
