Hey ya Gitz!

So I'm back into the 40k world after a year or two of being away and generally not working on anything, and it's good to be back!

I've started working on some new lists, and finishing off some models I started way back when, and then I was reminded about the painting and modelling blogs on here! I went onto my old Ork one... and every single photo link is now broken due to Photobucket being annoying -.- so I decided just to start from scratch.

These first couple posts will just be me putting up the photos of my previous work, though I will probably only post up the "finished" pictures and not the works-in-progress (though I have now uploaded all the old photos to the Dakka gallery, so if you are interested feel free to look there).

And so, to start off, here is my favourite creation to date - The Deff-Lord!

Here is one post-construction, with the basic paint job done.

Here is one after I have done some dirtying up.

And another -

Nice one Niiru.

These are great and I definitely missed your conversions the first time around.

Thanks guys

Next up is the first conversion I did for Orks, which was more of a practise piece as I was making some temporary Warbiker stand-ins until I could afford to buy a squad of the actual bikes (which were pretty pricey!).

I will probably not actually use these now though, or replace them with bikes, considering how awful Warbikers are these days. Too bad!

I wish I could take credit for the Ork Boy paintjobs, but I got a squad of Boyz from eBay for super cheap, and they had what I would call really good paintjobs already on them. Which was really handy!

Except now in order to get my next squad of boyz to match, I'll have to learn to paint lol

Moving this project log here, because what began as the first model in a potential Chaos army, is instead going to become a conversion for an Ork transport!

Meet the Squig-fiend! Or perhaps a Maulergoth.

Currently only painted/mostly assembled as the Maulerfiend part, but I have made some plans and beginnings on the transportation platform "howdah" already. Hopefully will have some initial pictures over the weekend

A looted maulerfiend! I've been wanting to do something similar for a long time. Can't wait to see what you do with that!

Thanks! The idea is just to make a platform/howdah around his smaller rear section... though it may mean cutting off the spikes there. Will experiment and report back

Here we go, a few pictures of my blu-tacked and mildly superglued test model for my Trukkfiend! (Superglue because it's easy to snap the pieces apart for when I come to paint it... blutak can't quite do everything!)
