I wonder if GW will take this codex and add some more models to it like they have for Death Guard. I don't think anything can be done for Ynnari to add specific models to that line... But Harlequins they could really do some work. A flyer... more transports, individual bikes, more HQ's... ( I know this is a dream) but with the Primarch's and Daemon Primarchs could they release Cegorach?

Depends on when the Harlequins get released. I imagine they'll do what they did with Death Guard in that they will take units from the Chaos Marine dex and tack them on to fill out the Codex.
But I doubt they'll get a huge model release.

I dont think so, as a harlequin player i do want more units, but honestly i only want 1 more unit just to give a bit more diversity.
I would like to have a Flyer.
I converted my Yncarne to Cegorach and just pretend, it would basically play the same.

All the new stuff Death Guard got was already made well in advance. This was planned for a long time to coincide with AoS and the new codex. Unless they've done the same for Harlequins, even a new codex wouldn't make them suddenly have models.
All depends on how GW is allocating its resources and currently they seem focused on Chaos/Imperium.

As much as I dislike Eldar, they're a good candidate to get a huge model release with their codex. Most of their Aspect Warrior units are terribly aged and not in plastic - including all the Phoenix Lords.

Yup.This is true.
But I hate the fact that Craftworld 'allies' with Dark Eldar, and this Ynari thing is pure meh.
So, I shelved my eldar, couldn't care less.
Bought Harlie bikes and Voidweaver.
Done with them after the Ynari silliness, permanent allies with Dark Eldar ridiculousness,
just another example of GW pissing all over their one "IP".

Ynnari is NO where near what it was in 7th, Yes its better than CWE currently, but not when the codex comes out, i promise that. Im guessing Ynnari Codex also wont live up to the CWE one, due to low amount of good stratagems and artifacts.
PS, also about Re-work treatment, Eldar and DE both need it heavily, they both have many Firecast or poor boxes, Eldar having a bit more finecast but DE having worst boxes (Scourges, Reavers etc...)
Beasts (3 units), Grotesques, Incubi, Wracks, Mandrakes, Courts (4 units) are all Finecast, thats only 11 units compare to Eldars like 18, BUT thats still 11 units....... And some of them are 1 pose or insanely fragile (mandrakes, Incubi and Wracks) literally ALL 20 of my Finecast Wracks are broke and i use a nice foam for them.
Edit: Harlequins need love, but not in more models just inner balance (very bad points balance) and insentive to take all the units. Tho i do REALLY want an Harlequins Flyer.

Have to disagree on this one, Ynnari make perfect sense, the species is dying a slow and absurd death. Slannesh has fed on the species for so long that the fact they are finally going to do something about it is great. Even if Eldar only burn bright one more time they can do more vs Chaos than mankind has done ever. Eldar paid a price for their arrogance, I think with the fact that you can have a Daemon Primarch on a table that allowing the Avatars (Ynnead and Khaine as true embodiments of their gods) is something that can really be game changing. This story is exciting and gives a good reason why the Eldar as a race are coming together, their not best friends but any sentient race should know when to band together when they face extermination.

All current Harlequin models are very new in the context of 40k miniatures. They already had their release wave when Codex Harlequins came. If GW wanted to release more, why didn't they do so then?
I do agree that some of the Craftworlds stuff needs updating, though I'm clearly biased here. Warp Spiders are from 1993, for crying out loud!

I also doubt any new Harlequin models. Maybe some sort of vehicle would be a nice addition.

This. Harlequins got new models only last edition, so if they were going to give them the full treatment they probably would have done so already.

Besides Star/void reavers, and 2 man jet bikes, all the harlequin models existed since the 90s! I have not read of any added types in the lore that did not have a model. Back in the day there was an added model (warlock) that I haven't heard mentioned in the books/lore.
They ultimately could have put all the eldar, harlequins, ynnari and DE into the same book (ala Space Marines) and been done with it. But now they need to milk the machine (again) and stagger out codexes. Plastic kits for metal/failcast models and a combo codex should have been the focus.
Those complaining about DE fighting with ynnari and CWE need to read more of the stories out there as it has happened. They're all one big family that is angry and over-all dysfunctional. DE are like the creepy uncle

Er, is this true? I don't think it is... the Harlequin Troupe, shadowseer, solitaire and death jester are all plastic kits, and are pretty decent models. If they're all from the 90's then they were very lucky to get such good releases!
Eldar have like 75% of their models still in the old 90's resin (pretty sure they're just remade identically from the metal models from the early 90's). Eldar are badly in need of a full revamp of their model line, with everything Aspect redone in plastic kits, and a new redesign for the wraithlord and jetbikes.
Though in my opinion the basic design for the jetbikes is fine, it's just getting very dated in comparison to the new models being released. Needs a bit of tweaking on the details and options. Same with the wraithlord - basically fine, but needs a modern remake.
All the aspects need a lot of work though. And the troops.

The Harlequin Troupe including Troupe Master were originally metal and later Finecast. Same with Death Jesters and Shadowseers. The plastic kits are all relatively new. The Solitaire, Void/Starweaver, and Skyweavers never had models until recently (that I'm aware of).

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Sorry let me clarify, when I mean models I meant that they actually existed and are playable metal or not. By new releases I assumed folks meant actual non-existent (ever) models like the DG "addons". Either way plastic revamps are great, BUT, there really is no need for a separate codex ala DG.

This is the old Solitaire. Only the vehicles and bikes were new entries, but all old Harlequin models were remade in plastic (except the Great Harlequin?) a few years back.
Also, the current Eldar Windriders were released in 2013 or something. They're among the newest Eldar models.

To the OP: no. Existing factions will get nil. New factions and newly spun-out-into-factions will take precedence. Why should GW update 25 year old ranges that 'need' multiple kits to update them, which the player base likely has, when they can 'Primaris things' instead and release new shinies no one has?
Peeps expected Dwarfs in AOS and got Kharadron Overlords.
I'd see that as a more likely template going forward. Harlies are done. Something different will be released. Either a nostalgia trip like the inevitable-at-some-point Adepta Soriritas or something new.

Maybe I'm just strange, but I'd buy plastic Aspect Warriors like crazy. even the ones I already own in metal or foulcast.
Entirely new mini ranges would only interest me if they were genuinely more appealing to me than all existing ones I didn't have. So far, I haven't seen any from GW. Death Guard look silly, Primaris look boring (like SM in general), Kharadron are ok I guess, Fyreslayers are meh, Stormcasts are ugly...
In short, better versions of what I already like are much more likely to make me open my wallet than entirely new stuff, which may not make me dive into it even if I do like it a bit.

Oh we can hope, and Eldar are more likely, but even then they're more likely to do a post-Ynnari 'new units, new faction' than the fourth/fifth iteration of the same units people own. And I totally get why.

Yeh but it's not like the imperium is hurting for new models. Between forgeworld and GW itself they have a butt-ton of models to choose from, with a bunch of actually new units as well. If they keep making stuff just for the imperium they're just going to keep alienating (hah) all the xenos players out there.
Annoyingly I agree with the guy who said that GW will focus on new models only instead of updating existing models. I'm waiting for the resurgence of the squats/demiurge. Though they already struggle to give all the current races an identity, and they haven't done a good job balancing orks or necrons in years, so I really hope they focus on fixing the current problems before they introduce a new (probably overpowered, so they sell) race.

I just started up a Harlequin Army, but I doubt that they will receive anything close to a DG release when their codex drops. Eldar might receive updated models because of how popular the line is, but I think Harlequins will stay smaller much like MT.
A Flyer would be nice and maybe an additional HQ, but it would also be nice if they boosted the less useful options such as the Voidreaver and Death Jester.
Maybe they will surprise me though as it is tough to justify a standalone codex (which I would purchase anyway) for such a limited force, but I'm not about to get my hopes up.

They for sure will boost the Void and Skyweavers along with DJ. The only questions really is.... will they get equal stratagems/artifacts and love like other codex's are.
