Hello All,
(Shameless Plug) Defend Neo Tokyo, the 2nd board game from Gateway Games, is currently on Kickstarter: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/gatewaygames/defend-neo-tokyo/description

Defend Neo Tokyo is a cooperative game of rescue, heroism, and survival for 2 to 5 players. Inspired by our love of movies like Pacific Rim, Robotech, and Robot Jox, "Defend Neo Tokyo" is a game where you are placed in the cockpit of a giant fighting Mech. The base game will come with two monster sets: Giant Radiation Beasts and Sea Monsters.

This is a "mechbuilder" game where players will begin the game by assembling their mechs and building a deck of the associated cards for each part used. You must manage your power each turn, making sure that necessary weapons and systems are strategically used.

There are bunch of expansions planned: adding new parts and weapons, enemy sets, modes of play, and more!

If you have any questions or comments, please let me know. I hope to see you join in the fight!

Saw "Neo Tokyo", clicked, hoping for Akira. I am disappoint.

Edit: Good luck with your KS, though

We were once so close to heaven, St. Peter came out and gave us medals; declaring us "The nicest of the damned".

“Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.'”

Saw "Defend" and "Tokyo" in the title, clicked hoping for Mechs and Kaiju, was not disappointed, and backed!

Woo hoo!

Also, moving this to NEWS & RUMORS as that's where it belongs, and hopefully to get more eyeballs on it...

Thanks Alpharius! I didn't know if it would get seen in the board game section, but thought it most appropriate. Glad to have you as a backer!

Hey Everybody, we're currently at 25% of our total funding goal and we cannot thank everyone who has backed Defend Neo Tokyo enough! As we close in on funding and approach stretch goals to expand this great game, we were curious - If you could design a weapon set or a mech component, what would it be? The sky's the limit here, we are very excited to see what ideas you all have!

I'll have to try and remember all the cool things I loved about Gaiking, Getter Robo and Grendizer and think of something!
