Probably some sort of aura-based re-roll or +1/-1.

Like everything else in 8th.

The rules'll be in the box no doubt.

I bought the Ryza ruins and they're super easy to assemble and look nice, though I'm super bummed that the big sprue matching these is only available with the stupid battlemat I don't want. The customisability is pretty nonexistent, but these work as scatter terrain. Now only if we would get expanded terrain rules in Chapter Approved so that scatter terrain would actually do something...

Stick those ruins to a card-board base and then they already do something.

There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

I know. It is a bit weird however that rules for ruins in this edition are written for ruins with bases while pretty much none of the GW kits are like that.

It is a shame that the stand alone STC Ryza ruins set does not have the larger Moon Base Klaisus ruin sprue. That sprue gives a bigger chunk of terrain and allows a bit more customisation.

As Galas says I plan to add my ruins to a cardboard base with a sand and gravel base for added interest and usability.

Apologies if this has been posted here or elsewhere before, but the rules for the Hive Shield and scenario for the Pythos terrain packs can be downloaded from the GW site.

Sad that they kept the terrible faq void shield rules, and not the fun original ones.

Anyone willing to Tweet a question to the fella - If you stack a regulator on top of a walkway at the height of a regulator platform, is the top of the 2nd regulator platform at the same level as the standard sector mechanicus height?

Really impressed with these sector mechanicus/industrial terrain kits. Definitely gonna pick up some of these plasma regulators and pipes. Got way too many ideas about how to paint these, i'm not sure if I want the coils to be glowing or be a metallic color to show they are defunct.

Ah good. I was wondering if the new platforms had the same connectors.

Would anyone who has the plasma regulators and the half tall platforms be able to put them next to some Mantic stuff? I'd like to see how close they are, if possible.

While going over the sprues for the Promethium Refinery set it dawned on me that it is the exact same contents as the terrain of the Shadow Wars Armageddon boxed set from earlier this year.

Right! That's why I had to put down more dosh for an extra Ferratonic Incinerator.

But it will be fun to build it later this weekend, I've already got two Shadow War boxes built up, but this one will be adding some good bit of height to the table.

Ooh, what's the mat? Think I need another Refinery myself, only got 1 shadow war set and a refinery on the way so far

We'll find out soon enough eh.

Unfortunately everything except the new Refinery box is out of stock everywhere I know of in the UK. Element says they're getting more Dec 1st, but all of the other online stores say no ETA so I don't really trust that estimate.

I still don't get why they can't just release a box filled with straight walkway and stanchion sprues, they must understand that's what most folk will need the most of, and I don't know that enough people will be willing to buy multiples of boxes filled with extras they don't want to offset the folk who say "eff it" and just order some MDF kits for a fraction of the cost. These plastic kits work on two levels, level of detail AND ease of use, and the latter should apply on the level of the whole range not just individual boxes, it has to be easy and convenient to build the whole setup that you want or else what's the point?

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

PWORK, though buyer beware, one corner of their mats contains a rather large logo of their company, something they do not mention in the product descriptions nor show in previews until recently.

The one shown is the arid mat in 3' x 3' format, though they also have an industrial one.

I wish they would just sell these terrain sprues separately on their online store.

Thanks for that, they do look nice, not sure if I can justify the price for a 4x4 one :(

No it wasn't. I asked them afterwards.

Their descriptions are the reason I asked. Does the Plasma Conduit look like it comes with 12 pipes, and 4 of each sprue? How do you get 32 braces when the sprue that has the braces only has 6 of them?

This is why I asked.

Did anyone ever find out exactly what's in the Plasma Conduit sets?

They fixed the store description to match the content on the box art. Before they said it give 8 plasma batteries, now down to 4.

Expect hefty price tag increase if they did. Not sure how useful it would be unless you REALLY need just one of specific sprue.
