Does anyone have a suggestion for how I could give my Thunderwolf Cavalry proper looking frost axes? The kit only comes with one axe in it and it is a sad looking power axe compared to the awesome, runed frost axe that they Grey Hunter kit gets. I would LOVE to just stick the frost axe from that kit onto it but... the damn thing is two handed!

The tempts me to remodel them as wielding it two handed, shield on forearm kinda thing or try to kit bash something. Any suggestions?

It shouldn't be too hard to just chop the head/power pack of both axes and stick the GH head on the haft and arm from the TWC kit.

You could definitely get away with a 2-handed axe on the TFC, and either mount a small shield on the forearm or have to stowed on the back of the saddle ready to be used.

So I figured out what to do! I have a new question though and did not want to make a new thread....

I now have primed models with unprimed hands/weapons. Should I spray prime these again real quick as the primer on other things won't be much or should I hand prime them with brushing on abaddon black?

Brushing with thinned down black or with Imperial Primer.

Idealy you should have sprayed them befor glueing them on

How have you done it now? Care to share a pic?

I ended up doing a mixed bag of spraying the ones that were not already glued and very carefully spraying the ones that were. I can take a few pics to compare! Will post them ASAP.

Here's a line up. I did a mixed bag of using Terminator axes and Wulfen axes. Cutting them up in different ways to put them on the TWC. I actually have a lot more TWC than this, that's just one squad. Have some chainswords still in for some comparison. I think the second guy on the rights hand wasn't fully glued on while I was taking the pic for a comparison lol. It got adjusted.

The final product. Maybe a few touch ups to do with the paint but I'm satisfied to start playing with them!
