My first Brigade list ever So Tyranids have only a single option to reduce deployments and that's Trygons which don't work well for Brigades at all since they are expensive and encourage you to make the tunnel partner a big expensive unit too. Thus this Brigade is the very minimal deployment of 18 which is freaking huge, can't believe how big this number is. I guess Brigades accept that their gonna start second (...maybe.... use one of those bountyfull CP to reroll the steal the initiative... for a 6+...mehhhh...) This list could work as Leviathan or Jormungandr since its a shooty list but Kronos is very nice too and opens the anti psyker options for Neurothropes and Warlord. Hummm... the Jormungandr Warlord trait "Ignore Cover" 3" aura would go well for the Warriors wielding Venom Cannons effectively kindof increasing the AP to -3... ....hummm..... anyways, heres the list Kronos Brigade Detachment 114pts - Tyranid Prime - Warlord/Soul Hunger - The Ymgarl Factor - Boneswords - Deathspitter - Fleshhooks - AG - TS 70pts - Neurothrope 70pts - Neurothrope 96pts - 3x Tyranid Warriors - Boneswords - 2x Deathspitter - 1x Venom Cannon 96pts - 3x Tyranid Warriors - Boneswords - 2x Deathspitter - 1x Venom Cannon 96pts - 3x Tyranid Warriors - Boneswords - 2x Deathspitter - 1x Venom Cannon 96pts - 3x Tyranid Warriors - Boneswords - 2x Deathspitter - 1x Venom Cannon 96pts - 3x Tyranid Warriors - Boneswords - 2x Deathspitter - 1x Venom Cannon 96pts - 3x Tyranid Warriors - Boneswords - 2x Deathspitter - 1x Venom Cannon 180pts - 6x Venomthropes 288pts - 6x Hive guard - Impaler Cannons 288pts - 6x Hive guard - Impaler Cannons 30pts - 3x Spore mines 30pts - 3x Spore mines 30pts - 3x Spore mines 108pts - 3x Biovores 108pts - 3x Biovores 108pts - 3x Biovores Total 2000pts - 12 CP - 18 deployment Max units of Hive Guard for the Double Shooting Stratagem, lots of Synapse and close combat with the Warriors, they also shoot very decently, those 6 Venom cannon shots will do their damage especially with a Prime around to help them hit better. No Monsters at all so the Venomthropes need to be completely wiped out to avoid the shrouding, a full unit of 6 can provides a massive coverage across most of your deployment (max of approx 20" by 36" bubble compared to the 8" bubble of the now obsolete Malanthrope)

Well, if you run Jormongandr, you have several Tunnel strike options...as is Leviathan, or Kronos look good. One way to free up some points is to use Rippers for Troops, that also gives a Tunnel choice as well. It looks like more drops will mean a +1 to go first for the foe, not so terrible, till then, if you run Brigade tanking the Alpha is just how it goes.

My "standard" way to build a Brigade is build it as absolute min points, then add things in. (So I'd have x6 Broods of x3 Rippers, then replace two with Stealers, one or two with Warriors, add in a Trygon etc....)

I'd reduce the biovore unit size to afford to upgrade the spore mines to ravenors. At 69 points, it's quite an increase, but it's for a huge increase in effectiveness. The fact that they can popup and deflect melee armies for a turn or two makes them capable of giving you a lot of shooting.
That's important because everyone and their brother is going to charge that list. I mainly run guard, but I will bum rush that thing to tie up those warrior guns.
Jorm is nice, but I think you should keep the list Kronos. You aren't going to lose a shooting match to anything not dedicated to massive shooting and warriors can take a shot or two without losing effectiveness. The Biovores love the accuracy anyway.

Raveners dont really impress me, I much prefer the Warriors and Im satiated in this list with Warriors
The Spore mines are a minimal tax which can help cover myself from alpha deepstrikes.
The Warriors are great in close combat so if the opponent charges me I am very ready to face a hordes of infantry and heavy infantry with this many of them. Even Vehicules and Monsters which are not their prefered targets will get harmed by them if he allows me to charge him in mass.
He will have a hard time reaching my hive guard with this many bodyguards

If your min maxing, take mucoloid spores to save 30 points. They are more durable than spore mines even if they average less damage. 3 wounds 3 toughness and a 6+ save vs 1w, 1t, and a 7+ save.
With jorm they actually have a 5+ save and are just as durable as 3 guardsmen.
Also your opponent is more likely to pump a multi damage weapon into them as opposed to regular spore mines.

This list appears that you need at least one more prime, if not two to space out your army. With the 4 plus to hit with your warriors, your going to end up in a corner, which will create issues with assault etc.

I would like an extra prime, maybe taking out one Biovore and a Neurothrope will be worthwhile. I haven't really looked into the mucolids, are they cheaper as a min sized unit than spore mines?

Yeah this is some nasty damage output.
I might spit the venomthropes up into 2 units of three as you don't have any big bugs to cover anyway and it means your opponent will have to pick and choose targets instead of dumping everything into one unit.
Also easier to hide 3 guys out of LOS than 6.

Well, additional range on the Venomthropes Shroud is nice and also trying to reduce deployments but I guess that when you have 18 deployments your already super high so a bit more wont really make any difference. they would be easier to hide as 2 units of 3 instead of one big unit of 6, you might be onto something there buddy
