Having non Grey Knights accompanying Grey Knights would rather defeat the point.

Isn’t there a Primaris Librarian sculpt? Pretty sure there are Primaris Psykers.

this guy kinda disproves the "primaris are not psykers" thing.

IMHO the most likely answer is Cawl simply never got access to Grey Knight gene seed. the primaris project was clearly a "legion upgrade" idea started by gulliman shortly after the heresy. My money is that when the project was started even GULLIMAN was unaware of the Grey Knights.

It's ok, a well-known tournament organizer (and GW consultant) doesn't think we need to be psykers anyway.

No. Rules-wise he doesn't think Grey Knights need to be able to spam smite to win games. That's not the same thing.
Firstly, you've still got the three powers from the Sanctic discipline to grab at, and secondly, all three possible support weapons and all five possible melee weapons include in their stats the fact that the wielder is a psyker.

In the original daemonhunters codex, the only effect the Grey Knights 'psychic powers' had was the ability to use a nemesis force halberd (which whilst +2 strength wasn't even a force weapon), The Aegis, The Shrouding, and a propensity to explode when a culexus assassin looked at you funny.

I mean, are GKs dominating tournaments and I didn't hear? From what I understand they are one of the worst codex armies, if not the worst. Taking away one of their few positive points doesn't seem like it'd help that.
