Well, I got almost all I wanted. I'm sad to see the terminators limited to 6-man squads, and the Sagitarian Guard limited to 5-man squads. I was assuming they'd be 10-man squads, I have 25 of them. :(

27$ per model.

This is why I refuse to buy anything from Forgeworld, that price is insane for 1 infantry unit!

30 Primaris Marines cost 180$ for a comparison

So again nothing on the front for Renegades and DKok.

Basically i fully expect now that the DKoK will also be taken behind the shed.

Gathering the Informations.

Like other Primarchs, Sanguinius will be available as part of the Horus Heresy Character Series. However, unlike his brothers, there will be two versions available. The already impressive Character Series version (above), and a special edition of the model that features an extraordinary display base. Both versions will be available to buy at the Horus Heresy Weekender first. A little while later, the special edition will be available online for a limited time, and at future shows, meaning everyone has a chance to get their hands on one. The Character Series version will join the other Primarchs on the Forge World website soon.

More info here

Looks like the surprise might not be Sanguinius.

if the special edition has another pose for sanguinius that isn't taking the flowing hair trend, that will be a plus ... getting sick of the long hair upwards (I get they are moving downwards but still)

I'm not sure about it, I need to see another angle.

There's something about it (and I can't quite put my finger on it) that puts me off the Sanguinius model. It's almost as if they designed him in a standing pose, then thought "let's just glue him onto some scenery so he's flying". Not sure if it looks 100% natural.

I also hope that's part of his tabard behind his foot, and not some weird high-heel.

Vigo. Spain.

Quite ugly. With a helmet it would look better.

Dakka does have White Knights and is also rather infamous for it's Black Knights. A new edition brings out the passionate and not all of them are good at expressing themselves in written form. There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

I was expecting something amazing but I’m very meh about the model. One of the weaker Primarchs in aesthetics imho.

Wild theory but I wonder if the special edition version is *that* scene on the bridge of the Vengeful Spirit? Which would mean the full fat Horus, Emperor and restful repose Angel?

Looks like the special edition is just the model with the display base.

Sounds like they are just letting us opt out of the massive display bases that add to the cost.

Probably just down to the angle, but finding the leg pose a little odd, looks more like he's sliding down something than flying, but hopefully other angles will avoid that look.

Interesting about the display base, obviously all the previous primarchs have come with larger display bases but looks like he just has the 40mm gaming base on the standard model (unless there are two different display bases, a 60mm one for the standard model which they just haven't shown yet and the limited edition one).

Maybe the designer just got carried away with the base and they realised it would double the price of the model to include it or something, so they just decided to make it a separate version to keep the price of the standard model down (as I imagine he's going to be priced similarly to the other Primarchs even without the large base)

I agree, I think it’s a mix of the angle and the right leg which just feels a little “off” for a pose that’s supposedly him charging down from above.
Also, I don’t know why, but, to me the model just also doesn’t look like 30k Sanguinius should do, in my mind. I’m just not getting the “regal/angelic” vibe from it.

Also… Why does it look like he has several Eyes of Horus on his chest plate?!? They aren’t, but they look so similar from the whole paint scheme of them.

He's inspired by The angel Michael if I am not mistaken. Seems similar to the artwork of him striking down Lucifer.

He's got a weird-ass pose like Fulgrim that would look great in an art print but translates terribly to a 3D model on your table. All the details and design are spot on, but it all just looks off.

Yea I personally think it's one of the best primarchs but to me they belong in a glass case anyway.

I wonder if his 'special edition' giant base will be a bloodthirster, a'la gandalf and the balrog?

It's definitely a gold bit on the end of his tabard, the other foot looks normal.

I like how thick the wings look. One of the biggest complaints with Corax was how fragile his wing/fins were.

The pose is a little weird but I am hoping the scenic base is actually Sanguinius fighting Ka'Bandha. Imagine this spike being on the top of a tower, with Ka'Bandha staring up at the primarch!

Oh.

The wings lack any sense of life and are too small, and he looks like he's falling, not flying/diving.

There would perhaps have been a time when this model would have been absolutely top of my wishlist, but thankfully my disappointment these days is a lot more muted.

FW really miss the guy who did the first few primarch sculpts.

Because Mortarion and "karate" Fulgrim are great...? Even Angron is kind of eehhhh.

Horus was, is, and shall always remain, a masterful model.

I just wish it were smaller, plainer and generally more boring.

Deep Frier of Mount Doom

Fulgrim goofy hair plus the stone spire vesa mount means I'll pass as a Blood Angel player. Hopefully the apparent second version will be less forced dynamic posed. I understand the inspiration and appreciate the pic posted above but I don't think it translates well to a 3d resin tabletop model.
