Missed out on getting a copy of the book, but from the reviews I've seen, it's not a huge loss. This isn't the thread for discussing a book that isn't officially out yet, but I was hoping for a bit more than what it sounds like the book delivered

Has there been any word on when that Cadian novel is going up for pre-order? Also any word on when the.. End and Death part 2 is going up for sale? Smashed through the last two novels and Garro novella in the last few days now, wordy bastards they were, great for learning new words, but I would love to see it end now, please BL?

It's been a while since I've had the sensation but when I forwarded on when reading The End and the Death to be met by the About The Author page, I was actually "Noooo. Why did it end there?"

I mean, I know why. Dramatic pacing, cliff hangers, get the customer back for the next part. For me, its worked.

Joking aside, i hope BL will have some sort of preview on Warhammer Fest, they're not mentioned in the preview lineup, but i can't imagine that there will be nothing new from them on that weekend.

The end is nowhere in sight (says the strict collector of MMPB version, the ORIGINAL version). Warhawk isn't out 'til 31st August.

"Bloody typical, they've gone back to metric without telling us."

"As the days go by, we face the increasing inevitability that we are alone in a godless, uninhabited, hostile and meaningless universe. Still, you've got to laugh haven't you?"

"We demand rigidly defined areas of doubt and uncertainty!"

"Mind the oranges Marlon!"

I've skipped pages/readings in End and Death several times when they seemed like they were just making up words for 6-10 straight minutes.....

Looking forward to the Lion book though.

It is okeish. Looks like the author was heavily limited in what he could write because it being the prequel to Arks of Omen: Lion.

Even the 'regular' HC version of the book sold out quick - that was disappointing.

Hopefully the next (larger) print run is announced soon.

Pauper editions don't make as much money as hardbacks. 🤑

But overall, the production runs of a lot of books have been woefully small.

Also, when will they start doing audio dramas again?

Well that's sexy as hell:

https://www.warhammer-community.com/2023/04/26/join-yndrasta-on-a-legendary-hunt-in-her-first-first-full-length-black-library-outing/

And not being primarch/heresy related, there may be a reasonable chance of getting one.

Oh man, I am listening to the audiobook at the moment, and almost done... this is now one of my fav fiction books ever, just totally cracking up, and the voice acting is so perfect.

Crazy thing is, is that although I started with the original Rogue Trader book, I just never bothered with reading any of the books... just got into 40k for the gaming hobby itself. I was always more into non-fiction books really, with the exception being the classic fiction books out there in the world that everyone reads (Steinbeck, Orwell etc)... but in the past year I finally started to dig into the actual 40k fiction stuff and now I'm like GOOD LORD THERE ARE SOOOOO MANY DAMN BOOKS.

Also, upon realizing how many freakin books there are, and how deep the lore is, it's insane (IMHO) that none of the big studios have ever brought any of this stuff to the big screen. Hopefully, Amazon will do it the justice it deserves.

Pre-orders are up, and the Outgunned novel is available in paperback form, and I really recommend it to every 40k fan.

Apparently, the first Leagues of Votann novel is in the works, and to be penned by Gav Thorpe:

The original tweet has since been deleted, don't bother looking for it.

Another round of eShorts is coming:

https://www.warhammer-community.com/2023/05/14/sunday-preview-rising-from-the-ashes-of-faith/

Notably another Peter Fehervari short story, and a look at the historiographers of the Imperium of Man, with a title that will get certain conspiracy theorists excited

These are available for separate purchase or as a bundle, the promotion runs from May 22nd to May 26th.

The release date of The End and the Death Vol. 2 has been confirmed by Amazon: it's November 7th, 2023.

https://www.amazon.com/End-Death-Horus-Heresy-Siege/dp/1800268785?ref_=ast_author_dp

The second volume of book 8 in the Global best selling The Horus Heresy: Siege of Terra series.

Terra is besieged. Humanity’s salvation lies on a knife edge. The Warmaster Horus’ bloody seven-year crusade has led to this: the cradle of mankind, where he is to kill his father, the Emperor.

With the war at this critical juncture, Sanguinius, primarch of the loyalist Blood Angels, braves the horrors of the Warmaster’s flagship, The Vengeful Spirit, with a single purpose in mind: to slay his brother Horus, decapitate the Heresy once and for all, and stop the forces of Chaos from taking Holy Terra.

But at the whim of a Warmaster fallen so far from grace, the Dark Gods will not make Sanguinius’ task an easy one, and as the war edges towards its explosive, bloody conclusion, events are about to unfold that could either save humanity, or plunge it headlong into an eternity of darkness.

752 pages.

Note that November 7th is a tuesday, but Amazon does weird things with their release listings, so it's either the saturday before or after that.

It'll be like the Lord of the Rings films - there'll be 10 postscripts about what happened to each character.

That cover art is a bit disappointing, but wahey, we are getting to see the end of the saga this year at long last then.
