Hi all,
Thinking about taking the plunge into the world of airbrushes but I am of limited funds. I have found this one online. Can anyone tell me if it’s any good?
Thanks,
Ed

“Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls.
The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does.
That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

Never used that airbrush so don't know. I've found of the cheap airbrushes I've used they're varying levels of bad, none have been so bad as to be unusable out of the box (though their seals sometimes die very quickly if they're made from low quality materials, if the seal around the nozzle seating dies that can make the airbrush unusable). But, more than that, I think that compressor looks like junk. My AB compressor is tanked with 23L/min and the tank runs at 45 to 60 PSI (compressor kicks in when the tank pressure drops below 45 and stops when tank pressure reaches 60PSI). I would not want to use anything less powerful than my current compressor, but the one in your link is 13L/min and 25PSI max (which means running PSI will probably be lower). It also doesn't have a regulator as far as I can see, that might be a bleed valve on the side to control the pressure - not the ideal way to control pressure. It also says to only run it in 30 minute blocks to avoid overheating it which makes it sound like it's not going to last all that long. So I'd say the compressor is probably insufficient.

I'd skip it if I was you. For that price, you have to be getting junk.

I have exactly that kit. Paid a nit less actually but that peice is certainly fair. Thing works great. I use it for base coating a d blockingin colors. It ca do fine lines and i am sure that i could do more with itbut i havent practiced much ... It is easy to clean. Has been working well tho i really dont use it often. The compressor is fi e but it is not tobe used for too long at one ti.e and is noisy. I run it for an hour then take a break. I like it. It does what i need it to do and wouldnt have gotten an airbrush at all otherwise. Good deal imo. Recommended

I would strongly suggest getting a compressor with a tank. Even if you start with a cheap airbrush a tank will make life much easier.
My suggestion for an inexpensive brush set:
https://www.amazon.com/Master-Airbrush-Multi-purpose-Dual-action-Compressor/dp/B001TO578Q/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1515265662&sr=8-6&keywords=master+airbrush+with+compressor+kit

Wow.
Now see if i could get that kit here then i would have gotten that kit.
In So Korea i coulnt find anything like that tho i did look.
I ended up paying 40usd total including shipping and the kit came with cleaning brushes and air dryer and so on ... To get a comprressor here was gonna cost 3x that at least at that time.
But yes. Between 80usd for that and 50usd for the op option well you suggestion wins.

The airbrush is probably the same as any other cheap, Chinese airbrush. Which is to say, that it will work with a bit of extra care and maintenance. Like ASK said, the first thing to fail on those is usually the o-rings.
The compressor looks like total garbage. If you want to go cheap I would buy a cheap brush and compressor off of Amazon, whether they're in a package or not.

I would recommend that you do not buy that kit, especially if you are on limited funds! The risk is that you throw away your money on something that will just break or cause frustration.
That chinese kit costs around £40. For £50 you can get a high quality airbrush from Harder & Steenbeck, that is made in Germany and bought from a UK reseller. The H&S Ultra in the link is a great airbrush that uses the same needles and nozzles as the more high end models. The quality and finish of H&S airbrushes are waaaay better than the cheap chinese ones. You also get a real warranty from a UK reseller, which is even more important if you are short on cash. I like H&S airbrushes because that is what I use myself and I find them easier to take apart and clean than other airbrushes. That said, Badger and Iwata probably make some good entry level airbrushes also.
And yes, my link does not include any compressor. However, as pointed out by others in the thread, the compressor on banggood is probably insufficient. I would recommend saving up for a few months and getting something like this You will have to wait a while, and maybe cut back on other hobby spending, but in the end it will probably save you money.
