Pretty much what the subject title says, are there any sources that describe how tall a Thunder Warrior is or any sources that can extrapolate anything useful? I've never really seen anything that indicates an exact height, which is annoying since I'd like to do a true scale Thunder Warrior to go with a unification wars army. Based on what I remember from books like the Outcast Dead and Dreams of Unity they are at least Space Marine size if not bigger, which gives a rough figure if nothing else. I plan on slowly rereading my Outcast Dead book to see if there is anything else but I thought I'd ask Dakka too!

At least the size of a space Marine. Thunder warriors are pretty huge.

Outcast dead is one of few books they in.

Vigo. Spain.

I think they where bigger and stronger than Space Marines, but more unstable by design.

Dakka does have White Knights and is also rather infamous for it's Black Knights. A new edition brings out the passionate and not all of them are good at expressing themselves in written form. There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

Well looking back at outcast dead, not sure how much bigger but bigger.. Arik especially in full armour is a a monster in combat, he is more scary than Ghota, and Ghota takes on multiple marines simultaneously in combat, being a half dieing non peak TW.

Arik and Ghota are not small, there bulky as one of the death guard, and tall as one of the death guard.. Tall ad a marine at least, bulky.

They are next to humans who are gene bulked heavily and testosterone fueled lunictics with arms like tree trunks and they dwarf them.

Also of note is they heavily PSI resistant, described as harsh black granite snapping shut. Also seems to make people cower with sheer rage.

Lastly they weild bolters of a kind, primitive and kick like mules without thought so they despite battered state retain extreme strengh. This is outside power Armour.

My impression is they were about a head taller than Space Marines. But I can't remember where I learned this.

I did read the Outcast Dead, but I feel like this was spelled out in White Dwarf a long time ago - around the time plastic Mk7 Marines were being introduced. There was some diagram showing all the variants, and it made mention of the actual size of Thunder Warrior armor.

In any case, big, but not necessarily bulky.

I always imagined thunder warriors as close to Ogryn proportions - I am not sure if this is rooted in anything considered canon. 20 years of being the hobby and i'm losing track of what is cannon and isn't.

Active armies, still collecting and painting First and greatest love - Orks, Orks, and more Orks largest pile of shame, so many tanks unassembled most complete and painted beautiful models, couldn't resist the swarm will consume all
Armies in disrepair: nothing new since 5th edition oh how I want to revive, but mostly old fantasy demons and some glorious Soul Grinders in need of love

You could probbly count solid cannon sources for them on one hand to be honest.

Originally Thunder Warriors were just inferior Marine prototypes, but BL has muddled the issue.

They still are infirior. But now there bodies has limited life spans, they had mental issues later on and also there finite clock was very finite.

Lastly, they also while stronger as such burn the battery out alot faster. They may be powerful but they burn bright and burn out faster. Marines are far more table and last alot longer.

Thunder warriors are still prototypes, just there combat mode was dialed to 11, they where also for the PSI wars, extremely hard to influence or effect are with warp magic.

There a pay off.. Trade sheer power for life span.

What little I've seen on the subject has the Thunder Warriors being larger and more powerful than the Strife Epoch Genos troops (normal Humans genetically enhanced for combat in Earth's environment at the time) and the later Astartes.
