Subject: Could a Pusgoyle Blightlord From Sigmar Work As A 40k Deamon Prince?

Hey everyone, do you guys think a Sigmar Pusgoyle Blightlord could make a good Death Guard Daemon Prince with wings? I could give him a chaos backpack and Death Guard helmet and stuff and I’m pretty sure they have the same size base as a normal daemon prince. But it’s more if a big bloated dude on a drone can get away with being a daemon prince in fluff terms as well.
Thanks in advance

Yeah. Maybe give him a Death Guard shoulder pad or helmet, and put some w40k weapons on his mount, and you are good to go.
Maybe hes actually connected with his mount. Maybe thats not his mounth, but it his HIM, and the rider is just one of his champions.

For extra nastiness, try attaching his torso to the bug, so he looks like a man-bug hybrid. I dunno about you, but that sounds demonic to me.

They're definitely adequately sized. Blightlords are HUGE.

Nice those are cool ideas! Could I also get away with using drones without riders as Chaos Spawn? This dude with a swarm of daemon flies would look cool. The Bee Keeper

I don't see any problem with it. Just add a few human limbs and a human head to it, to make it look like some poor guy that transformed into a bug, and not in the way he was expecting. Something like a failed demon prince.

That'd be so heinous haha. This dude turns people into flies, remnants of limbs and faces still showing, and then acts like they're his pets, and flies on one. Deliciously despicable, I love it

Not really. The drones are sculpted with their saddles on their bodies, and there's a massive gaping section where the rider goes. You'd need to do some heavy duty cutting/greenstuff action to clean that up.

If he wants to use Drones for Chaos Spawns he should use the drones that come with the Plaguebearers riders instead. Those don't have that problem, the Drone is complete, are cheaper and come 3 in a box instead of 2.

It's not a bad idea at all. with some suitable DG bits added to the rider it would fit in quite well

There is no courage to be found here my nephews, no honour to be had. Your souls will join the trillion others in the mist shrieking uselessly to eternity, weeping for the empire you could not save.
To the unfaithful, I bring holy plagues ripe with enlightenment. To the devout, I bring the blessing of immortality through the kiss of sacred rot.
And to you, new-born sons of Gulliman, to you flesh crafted puppets of a failing Imperium I bring the holiest gift of all.... Silence."

Does anyone know how customisable the Pusgoyle kit is? Are they pretty much snap fit or can you put any arm you want onto any body? For instance, one of them has a scythe across their shoulder (which looks beast) and the special character one is in full plate. I'd love to use the full plate but have him with the arm that holds the syche over the shoulder then chuck on a deathguard helmet and backpack

Sadly, GW gives you a bunch of really cool bits, but they only want you to use them in a very specific way.
Basically, you'll get 8 head variants and 4 body variants, but each body is made to only fit two specific heads, and the bodies themselves cannot have their pose changed in any way. It's the same problem the Blightkings box had, but even further exaggerated. Running an army with lots of Blightkings or Blightlords becomes problematic because you'll end up seeing a lot of repetition in spite of all the bits they give you.
Unfortunately, the full plate body only fits with the pike.

Well I guess I can always cut the pike off and put a scythe in that hand instead, just won't look as cool as him chillin' with it on his shoulder, but pointing with the other arm still looks cool. How easy do you think it'd be to attach a Death Guard helmet on him? Looks like he has a bloated neck coming out of the bottom of his helmet, I presume I could snip the helmet off at the neck and just stick it on in place of it

Honestly, the model doesn't say Daemon Prince to me. But I appreciate creativity and something a bit different so if you like the idea then run with it!

Hey guys, here he is in all his glory! Thought I'd post up what I did with him. It's mainly just a head swap and addition of a backpack (and a scythe conversion instead of the trident) but I think it works
The Lord of Flies now plagues the battlefield.

Yeah, with the Head and the Backpack he is 100% Plague Marine. A very cool model you have there!
