A long time ago in a galaxy far, far, away...

Brigade Games
Brigade will once again be attending Salute on April 14th – you'll find us on stand TE06. Besides taking as much existing stock as possible, we have a number of new releases which we've been working away at over the last few weeks.

In particular, we're focusing on new models for the Hammer's Slammers: Crucible ruleset in 15mm, with over a dozen vehicles for various mercenary forces. Top of the tree in terms of size is the Centurion 4H6 Artillery Hog, a massive 20-wheeled articulated vehicle the length of an HGV! At the other end of the scale is the diminutive Viking recce half-track, which can also tow a variety of trailers.
Spoiler:

For the definitive list of confirmed releases at the show, including prices and codes check out the Brigade Games Salute blog page. Nothing gets added to this page unless we’re certain that we’ll have on the day. The page will sit at the top of the blog until 14th April so it’s easily accessible. Some of the photos will be of unpainted or undercoated models, but as they get painted I’ll do my best to update them. This year we are a little behind with this page, so expect new items to be added at quite a rate.

Although we’ll have everything here available at the show, we’ll stagger the addition of the releases onto the website – that is simply to avoid us being flooded with a huge pile of orders for the new items. We’d rather regulate the flow of new stuff – that way we avoid getting behind on orders, which no-one wants. As we did last year, we’ve put the intended website release date to each range.

SALUTE ORDERS

We’re happy to take advance orders if you’d like to reserve any items, new or existing. You can either e-mail us (enquiries@brigademodels.co.uk) and send a list to be paid for on the day (cash or card), or you can use the ‘Collect in Person’ shipping option on the website to place an order without paying any postage charges. Please place any orders by Sunday 8th April to give us a chance of processing them.

SALUTE PRE-ORDERS: THE DEADLY SEVEN

We are very excited to announce that Earle Shepherd's mercenary Outlaw gang is now available for pre-order, with a release date of April 14th. If you're after a posse who will work for the highest bidder (who are we to judge?) this highly anticipated posse is most definitely for you!

Want some even better news? If you're attending Salute this year, we will be bringing retail copies of The Deadly Seven along with us so you can purchase your posse direct from Warcradle Studios on release day! I know, we're good like that.

Alongside this release, you can also pre-order the new Red Oak Townhouse to add to your ever-growing Red Oak terrain.

Phew! This month is jam-packed!

Paranoid-Miniatures
As promised all, here's a few pics in preparation for #Salute2018. With this being our first year that we will be retailing Mythos at Salute, we've been working hard behind the scenes to produce retail packaging.

We hope you like the approach we have taken, we wanted to keep the boutique feel to our product and also wanted the packaging to reflect the quality products that you will find inside.

Your thoughts as ever will be appreciated - first up is the Wildborn
Spoiler:

Steel Fist Miniatures

Simply place an order online at steelfistminiatures.com, and enter Salute coupon code at check-out. This will ensure that you order is flagged for collection and you save on all postage charges. Please ensure all Salute orders are made by midnight on 11 April.

North Star Figures
Salute 2018
Apologies to the majority of our readers who won't be attending Salute next weekend, but I'm starting this newsletter off by talking to those that will be there.

The first thing to say, and most important, is that if there's something specific you want, please order it now to collect and avoid disappointment.
Order it online, mark the order COLLECT SALUTE and we'll refund the postage charge straight away. The order will be behind the Osprey Games stand (TJ04) with your name on it.

The one thing we're not taking pre-orders for are the Oathmark Elves. We'll have 100 box sets on the day, and each box set will have a free metal Elf Champion model given away with it. The metal champion will never be for sale, so is an exclusive model. I'll have the shield transfers as well.
Only 100 box sets, so come by early.

I will be on the Osprey Games stand with the Frostgrave, Frostgrave: Ghost Archipelago and Oathmark plastic figures. I'll also have a wide selection of the metal figures from those three ranges and Rogue Stars.
Frostgrave author Joseph McCullough will be on the stand, come and say hello.
I'll have a small display case with the latest figures in there including samples of the 3UPS for the Oathmark Humans and Frostgrave Female Soldiers.

The offers on the day will be the Oathmark Elf box set and figure as mentioned above, an Elf Army Deal (buy 5 boxes pay for 4, but you only get 1 free metal champion) and an Oathmark Newbie offer.
The Oathmark Newbie Offer is one each of the three plastic box sets, and it'll include free one each of the three exclusive metal figures, the Dwarf, Goblin and Elf Champions.
I'll only have 20 of these newbie offers.

The new plastic Snake-men for Ghost Archipelago will be on sale, plus a selection of the new metal figures. We won't have any deals on the day, but I'll have a pile of the crew sheets that were left over from the Nickstarter I'll be handing out free!

So where will the rest of the North Star figures be? On the Ainsty Castings stand (TK17) of course. Ainsty Castings carry our ranges around all the UK shows and Salute is no exception. We appreciatte you giving them your support

Gripping Beast
SALUTE 2018

We have a whole range of goodies to release at this year's SALUTE!

We will be adding more as we get closer to the show - please check back!

If you wish to pre-order for collection at the show, you can now do so using the web-site. Just place your order and click the Collect At SALUTE delivery option and we will do the rest!

If you need to add (of course!), just place an additional order and we will link it to your original one.

Of course you can still email us or call us (01386-761511) if you'd rather do it the old fashioned way.

PLEASE NOTE - Space is limited at SALUTE so we will only be taking our SAGA ranges, the GBP plastic figure boxes, a limited range of LBMS transfers and banners, a limited range of Army Painter Paints and Tools and a limited range of Renedra bases. If you would like something that isn't in one of these ranges, please pre-order or we won't have it! The ranges we do take can sell out fast at the show so pre-ordering is advisable for anything you are sure you want.

See you there!

What's this? Salute 2018 is just around the corner so it's time to announce something very special indeed... Let's give a big welcome to Nakano Gozen - Emissary of the Blazing Sun!

Nakano Gozen has lived her entire life in service to the Blazing Sun - the Immortal Empress Shinzua. As a direct descendant of the Empress with a startling likeness, Gozen has been trained extensively in both the martial and diplomatic arts. While her adventurous nature made her unsuitable for a role at court, Gozen was trusted instead with a secret mission to the American Frontier.

As Emissary of the Blazing Sun, Nakano Gozen's mission has brought her into contact with both the Lawmen and Outlaws in the Wild West. While she is treated with suspicion by the authorities, her skill with the blade and silver tongue make her a valued ally to the Outlaws. Her interest in the activities of Doctor Carpathian has not gone unnoticed by the Enlightened or Union agents either...

Spoiler:

Nakano Gozen is the new promotional resin miniature by Warcradle Studios, for Wild West Exodus.

Nakano will be released at Salute 2018, at the ExCel London, and available for purchase from our stand (TE10) for £13.00. After this, she will be available to purchase at events attended by Warcradle Studios - so you'll be able to get your mitts on this brand new promotional miniature from the Warcradle Studios stand at UK Games Expo, Gen Con, and Tabletop Gaming Live this year - as well as at selected Trailblazer events.

Not attending? Feeling like your missing out? Don't worry!

We will be making Nakano Gozen available to purchase online during events attended by Warcradle Studios! Initially, she will be available from our online store between 09:00 and 21:00 BST on 14th April 2018 while we are at Salute. Her next appearance online will be during UK Games Expo at the start of June!

Nakano Gozen is our promotional miniature until 2019 when she will become part of our regular catalogue of fantastic miniatures - available to all!

Never a truer word said I'll be there (of course), will stop by the Maelstrom's Edge booth to say hello to our overlords at some point n the day - happy to meet up with other dakkites, maybe we can all wear a white rose to identify us to each other - or have a password / secret handshake... Maybe next year we should arrange something in advance and not wait until the night before

So... after weeks of waiting and working out what to buy / how much money we can spend, we're nearly there. Only one more sleep...

So here goes, (probably) the last post before the show. Lots of photos from various sources and a few more offers. Have fun all those who are attending, I know I will And for those not attending, you can live vicariously through the show reports that will be posted on these pages after the event (looking at you NAVARRO...)

Another good convension, unfortuneately I arrived two hours later then I was expecting to due to train cancellation and mixed connections, and had to leave early (last minute wedding stuffs) so didn’t have time to take any photographs but some amazing boards like usual.

Went with a solid plan on what to buy, brought none of that and instead came out with 3 carriers bags full of 4ground products, some old Knight models and this years Walking Dead All our war exclusive.

Annoyingly I didn’t look in my welcome bag until I was on the train home due to having so little time and no 2018 Salute model which is a shame as it’s one of the main reasons I went as my step-dad is WWI researcher / novelist so was intending to paint up for him. As I didn’t get in until after 11:30 I suspect they may have already run out so off to eBay it is!

Forgot to add, the layout was much better designed this year with all the bigger companies seperated by smaller companies so less botttle necks and the smaller stalls were getting more attention.

I also forgot to stop at the Forge World stall to grab some bits. Wondered why I left with so much cash still my wallet.

Lovely pics, very similar to mine

Here's my obligatory show haul - sent the princely sum of £12 (not including parking, ticket, coffee which brings total outlay for the day to around £40, not bad for a day out in London...)

£2 on Zinge miscasts bags - picked up 4 axles for my 6-wheeled Taurox conversion (saving £8 on RRP)
£10 on Green Stuff World XL roll maker set (saving £2.60 on the current online price)

Will do a full summary and picture log after I've had a recovery sleep (I'm getting old)...

There's always a few bits I miss or forget, such as I went to see the chaps at Maelstrom's Edge but forgot to look at the 'Broken' sprues - wasn't until I got home and saw the MEdge flyer in my bag that I remembered (I also didn't get a chance to say hello as they were all busy - hopefully taking plenty of money from other customers)

Green Stuff World was constantly rammed, when I got there it was complete carnage, had to shoulder my way through the huddle and almost didn't bother...

It seems they are going to be doing this from now on to reduce cash on the door.

Realistically I am never going to get around to painting my model. Your gift to your father sounds like a wonderful idea. PM me your address and you can have my copy.

I have already purchased one on eBay but thank you for the very kind offer.

If someone wouldn’t mind can they measure the base for me? I am going to mount on a plynth so will save me having to wait until mine arrive before ordering.

Thanks for the pictures Rugland, I didn't make it this year so nice to see some of those lovely tables. Always makes me want to up my terrain game.

The zombies attacking salute table is such a wonderful idea, kinda surreal to look at in amonst pictures of the real event hall.

it's the quiet ones you have to look out for. Their the ones that change the world, the loud ones just take the credit for it.
