Many questions left about the Tallarn Stratagem "Ambush"

"Use this Stratagem during deployment.
Choose up to three Tallarn units to set up in ambush instead of placing them on the battlefield.
At the end of any your movement phases these units can strike from hiding - set each of them up wholly within 7 of any battlefield edge and more than 9 from any enemy models.
So now about my questions.

Am i allowed to take like three Squadrons of Leman Russ with each 3 Tanks in Ambush ? For example.

And does this allow me to strike from multiple Table edges or do they have to ambush all from the same edge ?

Changed in the Astra Copywritum Errata.
WARHAMMER 40,000 CODEX: ASTRA MILITARUM Official Update Version 1.0 wrote:Change the second sentence to read:
‘Choose up to three Tallarn units to be set up in ambush instead of placing them on the battlefield (only one of these units can have the Vehicle keyword).’

Add the following sentence:
‘The units are considered to have moved their maximum distance.’
As for the multiple table edge question, each unit can be set up anywhere, from any table edge, so long as they are meeting the criteria set up in the stratagem and following the rules for deploying a unit. If you were ambushing a unit of Leman Russ, their datasheet has the rule telling you how to deploy them.

The Codex FAQ restricts it to one Vehicle unit for each use of the stratagem. You could Ambush multiple Leman Russ squadrons if you use the stratagem multiple times. That will get pretty CP intensive though.

It’s a great way to keep Russes alive Turn 1 and just lose Guardsmen to your opponent’s Alpha Strike!

For me, the joy is in putting some good-looking models on the board and playing out a fantasy battle - not arguing over the poorly-made rules of some 3rd party who neither has any power over my play nor will be visiting me (and my opponent) to ensure we are "playing by the rules"
