Hey there.
I alleged that the mods at the B&C acted like fascists, so to prove me wrong they permabanned me.
So that brings us up to speed.
I play Slaanesh Daemons, working on a Renegades and Heretic force very, very, very loosely inspired by the Kronstadt Rebellion.

Thanks, tiddly-peeps.
To expand, I played Necromunda and 40K (Dark Angels) back when cardboard Deff-Dreads came bundled with the boxed game, sold everything and stayed out of 'the hobby' until Dawn of War: Dark Crusade came along and pulled me back in.
I also have a (new) Escher gang but so far I haven't been able to play a single game of the new Necromunda.

First off, hello and greetings, fellow Canadian! Second, thank you for asking; there are ups and downs, but it helps to have a hobby or goals to focus on. Third, that leads me to words of encouragement as I originally had my P&M Blog on Warseer with my photos hosted by PhotoBucket. Then Warseer went down temporarily, and PhotoBucket started charging to use their services. I tried going to Flickr but ultimately gave up on them too and now just come to Dakka Last but not least, i understand the pain of moving. It really is a three - pronged curse; first is packing your miniatures, paints and everything hobby related. Second problem is the actual move; hoping nothing got damaged, but alas it happens. Third and final problem is un-packing and setting everything back up again ... However, life is a series of challenges and opportunities ... plus pain builds character " Was mich nicht umbringt, macht mich stärker " " That which does not kill us makes us stronger " - Friedrich Nietzsche

Thanks for the kind words. As it happens, I'm actually British and working to upgrade from PR to citizen.

Thank you, too.
I'm building an army composed of androgynous sex-Daemons and Soviets in Space, so I don't think I'll fall foul of that but thanks anyway.

Sword-Wielding Bloodletter of Khorne

Hello as well, I've just joined.
I'm from the UK, not quite middle aged but getting there.
Played 40k, Necromunda and Blood Bowl with my mates looong ago, and was recently drawn back into the world of Warhammer when my 7yo son found a small box of my old miniatures and wanted to know all about them.
(the sad postscript to this is that I had a few miniatures in one box - mostly my favourite Space Wolves models, and in another much larger box I had my Orlock Necromunda gang, my Orc Blood Bowl team, the starts of my Chaos Space Marine army, many of which were bespoke conversions...and I threw it away along with my original box sets of Necromunda and Blood Bowl. WHYYYY?! The original Necromunda bulkheads now go for £5 each on ebay!)
Before you know it I've bought him a few Space Marines so we can have a go painting them and playing tiny 40k games, and I'm assembling a small Chaos Space marine army - designed as part of the Khornate warband Wrath.
We've also enjoyed building some scenery (GW have my balls enough with the prices of the models - I'm not buying scenery off them too!)
I don't know if I'll go much further beyond collecting a small force and having fun little games with my son. But I have a bunch of questions about the 8e rules so I'll look for answers here.

I once sold a Tyranid army on that there t'ebay that they have now. On the day it had to be shipped, a thing cropped up at work and I had to rush to T.O. to appear on a pretrial so I asked the then Mrs. to pack it up and ship it. She did, but she also packed up all fourteen of my Redemptionists, most of which were the original Outlanders sculpts, and shipped them, too. Ebay basically called me a silly [Expletive Deleted], said it was my own fault and told me to jog on. Totally was my own fault, but still.

Ouch. That hurts.
I've bought the core of my new army on ebay this week. Picked up some pretty good homemade Chosen.
I'm of course going to chop them up and convert them further so they will be completely unique. Which I likey.
