Are skyweavers subject to Overwatch?

Overwatch hits on 6's

Skyweavers have Mirage Launchers which reads:
Your opponent must subtract 1 from any hit rolls made against this unit in the shooting phase.

And Overwatch is resolved as if in the shooting phase except hitting on 6's instead of BS correct?

This is not the case. Read the rules for Overwatch again, specifically the last line of section 4.3 of the Core Rules, subtitled "Overwatch".

And even then, that's a moot point because Mirage Launchers only work in the Shooting Phase. Overwatch happens in the Charge Phase. Overwatch doesn't use the term "as if" at all, and even if it did "as if" is not "is".

Overwatch always hits on 6s and only hits on 6s. Unless you have an ablity that specificly applies to overwatch.

I believe there was an FAQ that said overwatch was exempt from modifiers.
