Im trying to come up with a competitive Cadian list which fits my play style and the models that i like. Ive been getting whipped by Space clowns, DE, and the golden space bananas a lot lately so ive done a complete overhaul of my current list. My opponents dont like playing against russ's cause its harder to kill with they spammed fusion pistols/ dark lances etc. Ive taken the view that if i have to play against their tournament level list then im going to try make sure they have as little fun as possible....... As you can tell im kinda bitter atm, especially against army wide 4++ saves. I also want to take this list to tournaments.

My list is split into 2 Battalions, im one troops choice short to make a third battalion.

Battalion: 1
Cadian
HQ
Pask - 223 pts
- Punisher gatling cannon
- 3x Heavy Bolters
-Storm Bolter

2x Tank Commander 450 pts (225 pts each)
- Executioner plasma cannon
- heavy bolter
- 2x Plasma cannons

I quite like Pask with the punisher and with the heavy bolters it makes him a fairly cheap turn one distraction (will likely die turn one). The plasma is fairly weak against the negatives to hit that my opponents stack on mass but i really like the consistent damage and high AP that you can get from plasma.

Troops

for the heals and allowing my opponents chargers to get into melee with my tanks without charging them i guess. THE COWARDS!!!!!!!!!

Ive taken a heavy bolter instead of the heavy flamer because im not Catachan and i wont be able to fire it anyway since ill be advancing most of the time.

So when I saw the title I assumed it was going to be pure tanks..

But for starters, I feel like you're wasting your BS on the TC and Pask by not giving them lascannons.

You should replace the battletanks with Conquerors. You also have 8 infantry squads, that's a lot of "just chaff".

Besides the battlecannons, you dont have any Solid AT.
Maybe drop a battletanks for an Annihilator or two.

You could drop the 4th infantry squad from each battalion and the 3rd company commander to make points for lascannons on you Tank Commanders like kinratha suggested.

Any extra points could go into more heavy bolters for the leman russ squadrons

Thanks for the advice guys. Ive made some changes to the above posted list.

Now ive dropped the hellhounds, two guard squads, the tech priests, and the company commander. this has given me enough points for the following two options.

Option 1:
- 2 additional battle tanks (6 in total) and all will have heavy bolter sponsons
- lascannon hull weapon on pask and the tank commanders
- Pask now has the executioner and plasma sponsons

Option 2:
- 2 annihilator russes with lascannon hull weapon
- battle tanks (4) have heavy bolter sponsons
- Heavy bolter hull weapon on pask and the tank commanders
- Pask now has the executioner and plasma sponsons

So i now have 9 Russ and the minimum amount of troops/hq to give me two battalions for the CP.

Thoughts?

With the points you manage to save, I would think about grabbing a Manticore or three... they can both kill chaff and big stuff and are helpful to clean up objectives on the other side of the table, even if hidden out of sight...
This said, if you want an opinion on your latest lists you should write them down from the start, otherwise it's hard to keep track of changes

Yea good point. I was thinking hydras as a possible option as well but i prefer russes.

Option is to swap out the Annihilators for a squad of 2 battle tanks as per the above and lascannons on the tank commanders and Pask. I dont have the points to give them ones...... Although i could give them to the tank commanders rather than the Annihilators .

Noooow... that is a LOT of Russes.
The army looks real powerful to me, bu a question remains: are you really, really sure that you will never need anything to grab objectives on the other side of the table (i.e. with Tempestus Scions and the like) or to clean up a few Cultists, Cabalites etc. on an objective behind a big wall (i.e. with Mortars, Manticores and/or Basilisks)?..
Personally, I'm trying to make do without the Scions, but that's also because I have a LOT of artillery in my list... I'm not entirely sure you can live without both, although I guess it also depends on the kind of tables you usually play on.

Ok thats a good point. I think I'll drop the Annihilators a take two Manticores. that would leave me enough points to take lascannons on the tank commanders and pask and take another company commander.

Yeah that sounds smart. The list is getting real good in my opinion!

Looks like your list could use some trimming to give the Tank Commanders and Pask Las cannons.
