Subject: [Adeptus Titanicus] Report on your AT Projects!
Had a blast playing Assault on the Fortress from the Ryza book, agressive vanguard maniples of Favilla climbing out of the slick, oily seas in waves to crash Astorum's repair depot. Great scenario, can recommend.
First wave emerges and takes the brunt of the defenders' fire, smashing in their midst.
Iudex Ultionis reaps a hefty tally with its power claw (powered by being swapped into a Ferrox maniple for those sweet almost guaranteed Critical Hits), ripping through both one of the repair cradle objectives and both princeps senioris of the defenders' maniples before being brought down by the deaththroes of the enemy commander.
After six turns of incessant slaughter, the only remaining Astorum engine is a plucky Warhound that has miraculously survived the carnage of two Warlords double-KO'ing each other above it. At this point it had been running red hot for two turns, though, and as if giving up on life after the second cradle finally fell, it blew up to its own leaking reactor.
The midfield around the second objective got flattened out pretty thoroughly in the fireworks. This field of debris is the grave of at least four Hounds, a Reaver, a Warlord and what not.
Bloody brilliant game, this.

But yeah, assembled a Scion for a lance banner of "avengers". Gave him the skull head and a thunderstrike gauntlet, and a "crotch banner". Always groan when faced with endless Questoris to assemble, but really happy with the way he turned out...quite literally a badass.
Will have a lot of left over pieces from the kit so maybe an orc stompa side-project is in order!

Dakka has a gallery you can upload to and link photos.
Do you play 30k? It'd be a lot cooler if you did.

Good to have the household gathered but so much work left to do. Little more assembly( missing armour and shields ), LOTS of painting, and obviously the bases.
Will be moving onto a third battle force after this one, which will be an all-titan, traitor force. Already got a "spare" Warhound to kick things off and could really do with a new scout titan soon. If not, it'll have to be an-all hound team.

New Board Setup. Made a long rambling video about it. TL;DR: I figuered out after much thought that 5 inch spacing pretty much makes the table flow really well in terms of titan maneuvering around blocking terrain. Also gonna try and keep a diamond patterns to the road layouts, mostly because titans can move forward anywhere in their front arc and that flows better than roads/paths/fire lands that are paralell to the board edges. That's the biggest problem I have with the forge world AT boards, they're sorta unplayable in some ways in terms of spacing for warlords. Anyway. Lotsa pics, spent about 2 hours setting up the board.
more pics, too many damns pics really

Well, they aren't getting much more in terms of sales out of me until that happens. I'm set with my Legio Audax until Rapiers arrive. My adversary Legio (Praesagius) is bought and subassemblies are completed...just needs painting. I have enough Knights, and MORE variants aren't going to move the needle. I have enough terrain for more than table. So.
To be fair, we did get a pretty big release with S&I...it just feels like a full year ago because COVID. Then again, that release is still missing cards and transfer sheets. Who know when or if with those.

Look at the Slaanesh Subjugator and imagine that it was built by the Adeptus Mechanicus.
Single-barrelled turbolasers, actual close combat weapons, lighter, faster and possibly just one void.

Interesting, hoping it has more than one void, the knight command terminals already feel a bit silly only having one track. I wonder if they'll be other options to swap out for the turbolasers and or different cc weapons.
sweet conversion of the slanesh ones you mentioned, if its a mechanicus version of this hell ya!

I would LOVE for my Audax to have a CC Titan option. I field Cerastus Lancers to fill that void, but yeah...would love to put more choppy speed on the field. People equate Audax with the World Eaters berzerker trope, but they can't actually field melee weapons outside of Knight banners. Vulpa, on the other hand...
Sadly we can't have that outside Vulpa anymore, as War Chest is no longer a custom legio option. Not that those kicks don't still hurt when Ferrox doggos go for the throat, but it's that much harder to get reliable Criticals in now ;P
My buddy printed me some fortress walls and some repair vehicles and my vanguard order arrived so I added some princeps and servitors them. Can't wait to get these painted.

Yessir I do believe it's a scaled 1:285th of that. I think 4 make a full fortress. I wanted it small, but so 1:285th might not be correct, I know the normal scale can fit like a super heavy
Automatically Appended Next Post: Well I whipped together a little AT intro for the channel, this one's extended, gonna shorten it. Tiger Eyes vs Iron Spiders.

So me and my buddy wanted to try and do a battle report each using only what's in the starter box. We managed to make 1300 points lists each, 2 reavers, 2 warhounds and 2 lancers. It was a damn good game, legio fureans "tiger eyes" vs legio venator "iron spiders".
Only managed to record 4 of 6 turns before the card ran out of memory so we had to sorta jumpt from the end of turn 4 to the end of turn 6 and sorta summarize the end game. We're use to doing battle report for 30k, where it's about 5-6 turns usually so fairly manageable but with at's alternating activation it made it a bit hard to shoot everything, so we sorta had to abridge a bit of the phases and just explain what happened.
We're playing the engine war scenario, it's an entry level matched play scenario we cooked up to help get people into the game. Our current selling point to friends and acquaintance's are that unlike the commitment of a lot of games, AT actually is quite affordable. Only need a handful of models and realistically the starter box really is an battlegroup in a box. A lot of gamers are bit more intimidated by more historical style games so if we can give potential new players a sorta 1 page scenario that's very straight forward, you're basically just fighting over objectives, the hope is more people will bite the bullet and paint up a battlegroup of their own.

Maybe record in two parts, going forward? Part one for introduction and the first two or three rounds, then part two for the remaining rounds and the conclusion.
Regardless its great to see gamers having a good time.

Don't plan on doing anymore going forward, or at least very rately. I find it's impossible to document with video and play, too many alternating activations. I think we're just gonna take pics for games, less disruptive to the flow of the game and either players ability to think, video just makes it too hard to enjoy the game.

All the same, it was nice of you to treat us.
We'll defintately be doing AT videos, just likely more modelling projects/terrain or just game discussion/tactica stuff. I'm definitely gonna do a video highlighting all the great AT terrain out there from third parties. My buddy is also working on a jungle board, so hoping to do project logs of his process.
Our goal with the batrep is getting anyone on the fence about starting the game off the fence, with the pitch that it's one of the cheaper gw games to play and not as demanding in terms of hobby time.

So the warbringer's in the shop for some re-tooling. Belicosa volcano cannon seems like a good idea. Also magnetizing the arms so it can swap weapons with the reavers.
