Xmas generally doesn#t have big releases...no codex, no game, no big modei release. Instead we get xmas bundles. This pattern has continued years. Biggest release will be ca2018
Oh and dripple release would be bad for gw. You think 1 kit will make people start sisters? Just one kit? Unlikely. Gw wants new players for sisters on release as that maximises release sales and modeis sells most kits they will ever sell in first few months. To simplify a bit if gw weakens release sales those models will eventually retire having sold less than they might have

I have a copy of chapter approved here. The sisters codex takes up 12 pages from 128.
3rd edition codex that is. But it's about time GW bulked out their rules content - the last book had what, 17 pages of updated rules and points? They didn't even bother with some factions and the whole point of these books was supposed to be to fix outstanding balance issues hold the index armies over until they had an actual codex.
The fluff is like ketchup and mustard on a burger. Yes it's desirable, yes it makes things better, but no it doesn't fundamentally change what you're eating and no you shouldn't just drown the whole meal in it.
Rules don't take up the entirety of a codex and likewise won't take up most of the book. Especially since it's likely the Sisters update will look a lot like the initial Primaris release: a unit for each slot.
Technically, it's a minimum of 2/slot, because that's what we have right now.
Anyway, beta rules will only do any good if there's a long enough period between their publishing and the final product hitting the shelves to actually process the results and formulate and test changes. So I'd hazard that we can be expecting our book later in 2019, rather than earlier.
On the other hand, based on the Space Wolves and Necrons books, it looks like while GW may do playtesting, it probably happens too late to make meaningful changes, so we could also be expecting an earlier codex that looks just like the CA one.

Guardsmen, hear me! Cadia may lie in ruin, but her proud people do not! For each brother and sister who gave their lives to Him as martyrs, we will reap a vengeance fiftyfold! Cadia may be no more, but will never be forgotten; our foes shall tremble in fear at the name, for their doom shall come from the barrels of Cadian guns, fired by Cadian hands! Forward, for vengeance and retribution, in His name and the names of our fallen comrades!
It would be great if GW included a beta codex in every chapter approved for some of the fringe factions like inquisition or kroot. I didn't buy chapter approved after finding out the important rule changes on the internet but I do always buy army books for the in game accessibility to stats and abilities.

Now isn't neccessarily quarantee. Well except for having index rules still. But having old units in codex requires either of two following happen:
a) GW is happy keeping non-plastic units on sale. Not quaranteed
b) if not then GW needs to release those units as well.
If they drop unit from sale if it's not plastic but does not create new plastic replacement then that WILL be out of codex.
Reading it again makes me wonder where the ministorum will end up... and if i'd ever get around to building the boxed penitent engines I have if they release a plastic one :p

Well, there are only 3 unique base infantry models: Seraphim, Battle Sisters, and Repentia. Unless they drop Repentia or the Exorcist, since St.C's minions prove that Seraphim aren't going anywhere, I think that all 6 of our units will make it through, since the other two units are basically Battle Sisters with special weapons or heavy weapons, akin to devastators.
HQ: Canoness
Troops: Battle Sisters
Elites: Celestians, Repentia, [characters]
Fast Attack: Dominions, Seraphim
Heavy Support: Exorcist, Retributors
Transport: Rhino, Immolator

Not to nitpick but Celestine's girls are Canonesses with jump packs, not seraphim.

That's kind of academic. They prove that the jetpacks and models with them exist already, which means the parent unit will probably continue to exist.

What no love for the Repressor? I would think making an upgrade sprue for the rhino to turn it into either an immolator or a repressor would be a great thing to do and give more variety!

I keep seeing people suggest this Immolator/Repressor sprue and wonder why no-one seems to remember there is already a Immolator Spure in existence that makes a Sister of Battle Rhino and that a Immolator does not look like a Repressor.
I personally put the probability of a Repressor in the codex to be approaching zero. Not when there is a more compelling case for a plastic Exorcist upgrade kit, which would best pair with another heavy tank variant if not a mono-kit.
