We wouldn’t have got this far were it not for some of the best fans in the world (that’s you guys!), and so, to mark this long, wonderful journey we’ve been on, we’re inviting you to join us for a day of celebration. On October the 20th, every one of our stores will play host to an epic, daylong party in honour of Warhammer.

It's not super clear, but it sounds like the exclusive minis aren't going to be available until the celebration day on Oct 20th.

That was my reading too.

I expect another not terribly exciting Primaris Lieutenant tbh, despite the fact a Gravis armoured captain in a different pose would probably be more interesting at this point.

Something Death related and a Space Marine are my guesses, going from the icons.

"Leaked" should be more considered as "posted by GW themselves"


They posted those back in July--they're Store Anniversary models.

Haven't they been available a while (store birthday dependent obviously)? I have had that Primaris Captain for at least six months, possibly longer.

Are we sure they are the same miniatures referred to for the 500th store?

I would be surprised if they're not, but yeah the Primaris Captain isn't "new". He came out in 2017.
The Nighthaunt though is far newer.

I'm going to make a guess that these will be the two, since the event isn't slated until October 20th. Having the ghost be available for everyone to buy for Halloween would be a smooth move for them...especially since he's actually in the army book, unlike the Primaris Captain.

20th of October has been known by GW staff as "Storm Eagle Day" for quite some time now.

If it was going to be those two which they’ve already shown, they’d have just shown them in the article. They’ll be new models.

I just hope these models look different enough to actually make them worth getting. Something with different weapons and it's own warscroll would be nice.

It would be cool to see a Sister of Battle 'preview ' model for the 40k slot.

That’s just the standard store anniversary stuff nothing to do with the 509th store I’m afraid.

There is a poster on the bolter and chainsword facebook group who attended the 500th store opening who reports that sm terminators ala the Japan series Re coming - I assume this is in addition to the exclusive models teased.

The ghost is very nice, the marine, meh.

I hope the ghost has actual rules, given he’s listed as a member of a generic mook type squad.

I was hoping they release Grombrindal's 40th Birthday in stores only for this occasion. Instead, we get the two EXACT SAME generic models that you can get on your stores anniversary.

Seriously hoping for any info on the gaming event. If that is something I cant participate in, then HARD PASS.

The ghost is alright, I 'spose. 'Least it ain't another Sigmarine.

Underwhelming as usual, unfortunately. I'm all about limited edition figures, but they just do so damned little to make these stand out. The ghost looks pretty good, but I'm not up to speed on Nighthaunts model line.

The marine is woefully mediocre. I'm even more shocked considering the lack of wargear options on Primaris models. Why not a Primaris Captain or Lieutenant, etc. with bespoke wargear like a few of the other limited releases? Who's excited to rush in for a model with a bolter?

I'm all about monopose infantry models, but monopose characters with zero wargear options will be the death of this game for me going forward.
