Incredible they gained 1 wound... and a squad leader with 1 extra attack

And they are 4 pts cheaper. The buff is pretty good all in all. Don't know if it is enough, but definitely no reason to complain.

Maybe they put in the Horror datasheet as it was only in a online FAQ before? (Atleast for CSM)

Its a reprint from last CA, all datasheets/points got reprints since some books like CSM still have the old versions.

Soooooo.... Why did they feel like they needed to publish the Horrors datasheet ? It's basically unchanged...

Because it is different from what was published for the CSM codex. So now you don't have to download Errata/FAQ to have correct datasheet.

HANG ON. Just HANG THE WARP ON.

Utterly perplexed why the daemon lords are still stupid point cost and the Greater Brass Scorpion went UP in cost?? UP!? The thing wasn't worth it's points as it was! Why do I have a £120 model that's facing such obstacles? I can only pray they've at least given the thing another 8 or so wounds and strength 16 (after weapons) to justify that price hike. Then cultists went up? hahaha Maybe a nurgling got into the rules writing again? Did someone let them out of the cage? lmao...

I am, however, very happy wit the GD point drops. That was a good year overdue and I love the models, love the fluff for them but just couldn't justify a bloodthirster (I did get some good use from Keeper of Secrets in smaller games where it's downright scary, GUO and LOC were alreet). Skarbrand's lack of points drop is a bit odd. CSM special character drops ok. Defiler got another points drop = smooth.

Monolith point drop didn't go far enough.

They where already like 16pts too expensive to begin with a 3pt discount and a wound doesn't suddenly make them good.

Incredible they gained 1 wound... and a squad leader with 1 extra attack, still not worth 40+pts especially with spawn going down to less than 30

Err...well, an extra 7 movement, reliable attacks, an invulnerable, extra WS, always strikes first, and the option to have deepstrike tends to do that despite losing out on 1T & 1S.

I won't say they're better than Spawn as there are a lot of layers to that, but the speed, ASF, and blocking fall back means something.

I think I overacted thank you for being a voice of reason. I'm just worried they will still be mowed down just as easily as before by small arms fire.

Non-Imperials, man.

You should know by now; if you’re not Imperial, you’re not playing 40k.

Weird thing to say about a game that's basically been 'Age of Eldar' for the past 3 editions.

I think they are technically more fragile, because they're more points for the same wounds, but they can get where they need to be really quickly.

Great objective grabbers and if you grab only 2 units of 2 they are cheap, but still a huge threat just by helping your units pin down enemies.

Not a single adjustment for FW nids.... I am disappointed. But, that's not the worst. At least there were some good drops in the regular Nid line.

Guess I'll finish painting my pyrovores.

You can also permanently tarpit certain units do to their musk. I don't see any restriction in that rule why one of these can't play tag with a landraider and keep it from firing into someone charges the thing off.

They're in dire need of some new mojo and leadership.

Trouble is, the way these miniatures are designed and with how long it takes, even if they did get some new leadership months ago, it'd still be a long while before that all coalesces into a better Forgeworld.

Greater Brass Scorpion went up because it’s a FW model.

GW is killing off all FW models by making them massively overpriced; don’t take it personally.

also I don't know if this was missed but under the flesh hound point costs there is another point cost for something called gore hounds which are quite more costly. I don't know if it's just champ cost especially when fiends blissbringer is free.

All right ladies and gents, I've taken a look at the CA preview (NZ preorder) and found the rules for Cities of death (if anyone is interested):
- Obscured targets: if every model is at least partially obscured, then -1 to hit. (vehicles/monsters must be 50% obscured)
- Lucky hits: 6s always hit
- Streets: increase move by 3" on streets
- dangerous terrain: advance/charge through dangerous terrain then roll d6, on 1 suffer 1 MW.
- Height: improve AP by 1 against low elevation

Didn't see anything about soft vs hard cover, but might be a different page.

Anyhoo, Cities of Death continues to be my default game mode
