It’s hard to judge the scale.

Candles suggest something roughly infantry sized, going on how GW normally does candles.

I’d say it’s definitely shoulder mounted, but whether that’s then mounted on something else is basically a flight of fancy on my behalf. Just can’t see something so grandisose foot slogging it?

Chain axes aren’t World Eater exclusive. Hell, one of the few new CSMs we’ve seen in full has one.

Probably just a generic Chain Axe for any Champion or Character. Has the 8 point Chaos Undivided logo on it and does not look KHORNEY enough.

How?

First, it looks nothing like Gorechild (both were supposed to be nearly identical), second, it's dedicated to chaos in general, not corn flakes, third, if you look at the skull, there is no way it's something primarch sized, unless giants somehow migrated to 40K. It's clearly CSM weapon, and not World Eater one either...

...I have a bit of a thing for big hefty 2-hander melee weapons though :tongue:

neither of the axes in that pic are really close enough to be a match for the preview chainaxe IMO...but it does feel like the right place for it, as like, one of the options for a melee-build CSM squad or something.

this new one, I'm thinking that might go with the one that looks like some sort of terrain piece...it's hanging from something, but looks too big to be hanging from anywhere on an infantry model.
