Thank god. The only part of the model I wasn't grooving on was what I assumed was a stupid, fleshy maggot foot.

So, I'm guessing we'll get 8 models.
7 plague marines, since that seems to be the standard unit size,

Probably 10 models once you include the "mystery models" the set will inevitably have.

We only got seven last time.
Five man squad.
One mystery captain.
And the standard in the paint set

Though, you're probably right. Lot of plague marine guns to equip models with

I really didn't want to do the blind box thing. Was happy when it was micromarines. Now its Death Guard? Damn it GW! Now I'm going to be buying blind boxes, well played.

Yeah, but we got 13 in Series 1.

Series 2 didn't even technically give us a legal 5 man squad, either...

Depending on how they looked, I'd buy a few. Back in 3rd I'd planned to start an Ulthwe army (since they had that supplemental codex that let you run specific craftworlds). Now I'd just want a cool-looking figure or two.

A full box(theoretically two full sets plus the Captain) was ~$180 USD. HLJ has them for $150 pre-shipping currently.

Really nice models, shame about the release method.

Even without the blind bag issue, importing them from Japan when Nottingham is only an hours drive away just feels wrong.

Vigo. Spain.

new plague marines is always a good thing. By their own nature the multibox kit lacks a good bunch of customization so having a good amount of different sculpts is very nice.

Also that caster looks ace, much better than the baby faced with the pudding spoon of Dark Imperium.

So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

Previous 'blind' boxes have been set up such that you got 2 full sets in a big box (S1 I cant remember if S2 was only one full set) so somebody who wanted them all tended to get a big box (maybe to split with another person, maybe to offer singles at 'cost')

if you wanted it all it should be easy enough,

if you only want a single specific one you'll need to post a want in the appropriate thread and hope somebody's got one they want to sell

PlayMax was who showed them off at the Japan Toy Fair, so it still is the case.

I think the designs are done by GW proper, but PlayMax does the manufacturing.

At this point, I'm afraid it'll be Primaris.
If we do get more marines, scouts would be great. Or Deathwatch. Each marine actually have chapter specific bling, like Kill Team Cassius.

And yes we do relatively bulk orders. Record was 20+ Chaplains for a chap in the States, ordering them in for his military mates!

Yes, I bet that he had 20 mates that each wanted one.

I mean, that's far more likely than him putting them all up on ebay for an inflated price, am I right?

Have you ever considered that despite your best efforts, you are actually helping "scalpers"?

I'd be fine with Deathwatch, but half of them would inevitably end up being 1st founding chapters, which would just be boring. Give us a bunch of chapters that we haven't already seen in either Kill team Cassius or the Kill Team box and it'd be grand. Unfortunately I just don't see them missing a chance to throw another white U in there.

Based on the group it's very likely that it was for that person bulk ordering for his friends or local crew. Or instead I guess we could just close the group full of really lovely people who are happy to help out and go out of their way to offer exclusive models at cost.

I take it back. I like Drippy McDripperson's leaky helmet. I feel like he's hollow, and his armor is just filled with the pus that he sprays from his weapon. I can't wait to see the rest of them.

None of the other series had extra addition to the scenic bases, a la fly/nurgling, so its cool to see them adding even more to the range.

Series 1 had 2 sets(though there are reports of some boxes containing some triples instead of 2 full sets) plus the additional external Captain for buying a full box, Series 2 only had 1 set with the Captain included in the box.

Based on what evidence, exactly? Because I based my assumption on Occam's Razor.

Well, if you wanted to throw your toys out of the pram I guess "we" could do exactly that.

Or you could just appreciate the irony of the situation.

I doubt the group is 'helping' scalpers. It'd be pretty obvious if someone was always ordering multiples of the same thing.

Anyway, the guy in Japan has already said that he's ready to take care of orders for Series 3 once he has more details of when/where/how much.

Pretty decent prices from what I can see (the full Series 2 was under AUD$100 including shipping from Japan).

Except you aren't, you're basing it on cynicism. Occam's Razor would tell you that the least assumption is that the guy is telling the truth.

I dunno, what about the guy who ordered 20+ Chaplains? What is to stop him continuing to order 20+ of the same figure for his "army buddies"?

Don't get me wrong, it's a great idea to help out fellow hobbyists, but my point is that there is seemingly nothing to stop scalpers from using the service too.

I agree that I'm a cynic, totally.

I disagree with your assessment that the guy is telling the truth. Think of the odds required for them to know 20 people who are all into the same niche hobby on the same army base who all want exactly the same figure.

Simple solutions are more likely to be correct than complex ones.

Ultimately I'm suggesting that if Doc doesn't want to aid scalpers he and his group should maybe consider not doing bulk orders to individuals.
