Shall there be color in future?
There's going to be much, much more than color. My
rapier quad mortar was my first commissioned illustration; my
company ancient was my second. Take a peek at the company ancient illustration - there's a lifecycle series of drawings of how it went from concept to line art through draft iterations to finished product.
The Captain though...that's another story. Techpriest-Cap...erm, TECHPRIEST-CAPTAIN TEMPERNIUS IRASCUS is going to have as many illustrations as I can get one of my illustrators to make and sell me. Within the context of the
lore I wrote for him he's going to get a bunch of illustrations so I can turn it into a sort of angry marine manga.
*Captain Irascus punching Forge Master Anvilus Kustovas into household appliances.
*Captain Irascus holding up a the Forge Master's red techpriest cloak and declaring himself a tech-priest.
*Captain Irascus forging his own weapon in the forge master's workshop.
*Captain Irascus flying through the air, teeth grimaced, preparing to smash open an Imperial Knight's groin armor.
*Captain Irascus ripping open the groin armor and pulling out wiring, cabling, legs.
*Captain Irascus strangling the Knight to death with a techpriest robe.
Beyond that, he's going to get illustrations of every day life. An illustrated portrait of him taking a selfie. Of him painting a self-portrait. Sitting down for angry coffee. The possibilities are endless.
