I’ll no doubt end up with a box. I’ll probably convert some to hold spare Eisenkern blasters. I have no emotional connection to Angus McBride’s orcs and goblins, but these could work as any generically evil fantasy race.

For actual goblins, I think Mantic and Reaper Bones both have better options. For fantasy orcs, Bones has me well covered, although Oathmark and Mantic both have some nice takes. Shieldwolf’s orcs look more like demons to me, which ain’t a bad thing.

The GW minis are all too stylized and too well associated with the IP for me to consider them anything but specifically Warhammer Orcs and Warhammer Goblins.

TBF I think that open-handed model is actually a WGF/WLG orc.

EDIT: nvm, I see you already caught that!

Love these. I’m a bit of a Goblin fan and have them in many styles, these ones scratch a very particular itch and it feels good!

Lord Marcus. The goblin set is supposed to come with a saddle and rider legs right? For the spiders? Is that still a thing?

I want the rider legs to make a hafling commander on griffin

Yes one saddle and two unique legs per sprue that can be riders or infantry so you get a bit of variety

Yes, especially the civilian looking arm firing an MG42 ( or was it a 34?)
Would make sense, after the Resistance...

After a week or two of kitbashing I've been left with a fully fleshed out Les Grognards (or proxy Vostroyans if you will) along with some WA/ GW kitbashed Death Korps proxies.

Keeps me off the streets and out of mischief.

Now looking to the Space Brits, Rifles, Lizards, Cannon Fodder and within time Gurkhas ( followed by them becoming Space Gurkhas after dipping into the bits box).

Very nice! I had the same idea with the DCK conversion but chose to stick to pure Grognards for now and wait what else is in the pipe. I already kitbashed several figures just to have WA release the exact thing latter - in pretty...

Les Grognards weapon arms + upcoming WWI French bodies + WWI German gas mask heads may give a more accurate proxy for FW Death Korps but I'm content with what I have.

Looking through the last few pages (I've been off line a while) I can only say I envy the younger gamers just starting out. I wish we'd had this sort of selection in my youth. Grognards, and now the projected Space Brits to oppose them?!!!

Also, is there any projected release date for the Halfling Cavalry yet?

It's wasted on the young!!

I'm knocking on the half century and, being mortgage free, I am fortunate enough to be sufficient in slush funds.

Not enough free time yet but soon.....

Has anyone seen the grognard heavy weapon teams available on EU retailers?
They are out for a bit in the UK but every webstore I checked don't have them listed or have them as pre-orders with no potential delivery date.

Things should be moving along in the next week or two. We're also working on overhauling the back end processes of the website.

Couple tidbits from the latest news article:

A good chunk of our time has been spent working with developers on the website and our inventory systems and currencies. As you've seen here already we can now let you purchase and check out in your own local currency if you prefer it.

We're also working on an order tagging and inventory management system that will make order tracking much more accurate for our three warehouses in Australia, the UK, and US. We've been growing pretty quickly and want to be able to stay on top of inventory so we don't run out of things (like Skeletons right now in the US and Dark Age Irish in the UK). Once this is in place and our forecasting models are updated - sometimes later this year we should never have a product out of stock again...maybe...hopefully!

And the best news is that all this behind the scenes work will give us more time to focus on making more plastic sets!

Lizardmen and Prussian Reserve are both at the docks in New York and Southampton so now it's just a matter of time before we have them in the warehouses. Shipping now in Australia.

And French Resistance and British Riflemen are available worldwide now and all pre-orders have shipped out!

I'm eager to see these Romans. I'm hoping they're in a bit more action- style poses than the competition out there.

Not that there's swarms of late Romans available or anything...

I hope there's a hand on the sprue hurling plumbata!

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

In plastic, Fireforge I beleive has some Byzantines, but they're very stiff posed and repetitive I believe, at least the spearmen.

Gripping Beast has infantry and several types of cavalry (light, heavy and cataphracts). Room for expansion/improvement though.

That Roman Helmets on the Illustration look so wrong in many ways, nearly so wrong like the Helmets in GBs Late Roman Sets...
