And done ! With only a single keg integrated to the tower, wich was not a bad thing actually...It made it easier to photograph, and possible to actually complete before deadline ! Good luck to anyone still racing to finish !

Okay, now I'm panicking... when is the adjusted deadline? I thought I had a while yet, but when you say "racing to finish" it freaks me out a little. What's the final due date?

Whew, that's a nice relief! Still, I better hustle. Here's a final WIP before I head for the finish line: pre-assembly of base plates (magnetized at the corners for versatility) and upper deck complete, trimmed in styrene, straight pin "rivets" and green stuff "welds" prepped with Leadbelcher. Tanks and other trim are being painted separately, so it's time to start weathering and assembling everything. I'm hoping it moves quickly from here now that the fiddly work of trim details and magnets is done. Wish me luck, and check out more details in my P&M blog if you like: https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/240/686009.page#10513309

I'm going to make it-- barely, and without some of the flourishes I'd hoped for, but solid enough (I hope). The deadline is Tuesday the 30th before midnight, right?

Yikes! I just realized that midnight GMT is 6pm here... I haven't even taken photos yet! Time to hustle...

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Okay, I'm all submitted (link in PMs) and I think I beat the GMT deadline by a couple of hours. Whew! I had an awesome time, learned some stuff, messed some stuff up, and I've got a cool new terrain piece (that will get a proper in-game debut tomorrow). I've learned from watching you all work too. Thanks to everyone-- especially Cam for organizing-- and good luck!

Excellent work, everyone! Such cool finished products... I'd play a game on any of those tables.

Any thought we should point out the food in each? A couple are obviously made to BE food, but others are made FROM food... just a thought.

Great work all, and again, many thanks to Cam!

The food connection in our case was the Easter egg packaging the whole thing is built from- been meaning to do something with that for ages! Nice to finally have the excuse :-)

Not where I should be

The results are in and a winner chosen!

It is always very hard going through the entries, and as usual the quality of work on display here is so very high. Every piece could be sold as professional work and would look fantastic on anyone's table. I will shortly put up a critique post, not that I have anything negative to say about anyone's work here, it is all amazing and close to flawless.

Well the winner......in the end this came down to how much I have seen this persons work improve, always looking to go a bit further and always taking our critique to heart and using it. Apart from every time we mention "smaller"!!!!!

KernelTerror

This piece has depth and scale beyond the physical size. With the OSL in the windows he gives a glimpse of the wonders happening inside. It embodies perfectly the Chaos spirit we have seen in all his builds, but with those subtle improvements we have advised, he has taken his work to the next level a bit at a time. I believe it is time he got his badge as a member of the League of Extraordinary Riveters.

This is also a great piece for game play, easily an objective as a strategic point, height for troops to gain advantage, size to give large units cover and line of sight blocking. My imagination runs riot when I see pieces like this, so many scenarios that could revolve around just it. I would love to see a shot of his table, all his pieces together.

And also Kudos and glory to MacPhail, you won the vote on the popularity contest. Well done sir.

Honestly all your work was truly amazing folks. And all easily as good as each other, so much brilliance and so much creativity. Please come back and dazzle us some more.

Well as I say I will go over my notes carefully and produce a critique, and I would ask anyone else to do likewise. By all means, I don't think anyone would object to it, but if you do please speak up.

So another one over for me, seriously thinking of retiring. That's 6 of these I have run, takes a toll. However, it is now over to you KernelTerror to run the next competition and give us all something to think about.
