I was thinking of just ordering it when it's available on the UK site and deciding if I really want it later, but is it something that can't be cancelled? The terms and conditions say you normally get 14 days to return it once it gets to you, buy then they say later on that items that are "made to order" don't count.

Also very unclear on if there's a possibility of customs charges and such with this item.

This should come under distance selling regs. It is not made to order so does not come under those rules. Made to order is where you place an order and they make one specifically for you, where if 10 are ordered they make 10, if 50 are ordered they make 50. This is just a limited run pre-order, which comes under the standard distance selling regs.

Hell no, I’m out for sure. The sad thing is my 7 yr old wanted one and chances are I would have grabbed another one to sit on my book shelf. There’s no way I could warrant 75 for one let and 150 for two of them.

It’s a shame but if gw had gone down the road of smaller scale along the line of 6 inch action action figures with scope for say orks and imperial guard figures, then I’m pretty sure we would of had bought a bucket load over time. Thanks but no thanks gw.

On the webstore, it has the Made to Order symbol, a Made to Order tab next to the product description and text stating "This product is made to order and will be dispatched within 270 days."
I think there is reason to believe GW views this as a Made to Order product.

For the quality expected, it’s not Really that crazy. I think they should have done 6 inch with a plan for at least something for him to fight against. An ork or howling banshee.

Also, these aren't safety tested to the same standards as mass market children's products. This style of figure is likely to break in multiple places with the rigorous play of kids. They're designed for display.

For these sorts of adult collector orientated products, very much so. This is actually on the cheaper side.

Yes. As I said earlier in this very thread, Figuarts Thanos, a figure the same height, style, and accessories count as this one, was $95 USD. These style of high quality Collectors figures in small print runs are typically in the $60-100+ price range.

That's what I was hoping for. I've seen some of their products go for a ton on ebay, though ebay doesn't reflect the true cost of items. It's just like how those statues of pop culture icons are sold for 200-500 dollars. I think there may have even been a Guilliman v Khorne Berserker one released

That’s a good point but in his case it’s also a moot point as he won’t be getting his hands on one any way. Lol.
He will just have to stick to playing with stars wars figures and a handful of halo figures.

Sorry but $100 US for this is mind bogglingly insane. You can get an MG V3 Gundam RX-78-2 for half that, and Several MG VerKA's for less...

The balls on GW to charge that much for a vastly simpler kit is pretty mindblowing... even by GW standards, which are already pretty high to begin with, this is beyond overpriced imo.

One has to keep in mind the price for this might not be set by GW. Also you could argue that the Gundam has a much bigger audience in that market and a much longer legacy of such products; whilst a marine is a bit of a gamble. Especially since many customers might get a "real" marine instead of a supersize one.

It's not a model kit, it's a collector's grade action figure like their Figuarts line and is priced in line with said Figuarts. It's only $5 more than Thanos was.

preordered mine. £75 is not terrible for a collector's piece (for comparison, the FW collectable.SM was over 100 and I believe it was a lot smaller.

Planning on heavily converting mine to Chaos, I imagine quite a lot of those 9000 will not be staying loyalist

Maybe, but it's a common price for Bandai figures of this style.

£75 is a bargain, that's little more than two infantry boxes, it's a collectable space marine action figure with 50 points of articulation, limited to 9000 , made by Bandai.

I know the community has some skewed idea about how cheap stuff should be but I figured on at least £100 for this , lead time seems excessive but I suppose this shows how far in advance stuff happens in business.

By the sounds of things, it isn't a GW pricetag - it's a Bandai pricetag.
