I know this company really polarizes people good and bad, but..I like them.

And they are releasing NEW non KS miniatures now!!!

So, eh..Here's a thread showing off the new stuff to discuss and what not.

First up is the Holy Blades. Hot chicks in field plate..usable in DND and AOS. Apparently they are all sold individually as well if you just want to get one.

Raging Heroes make some great minis. Well, except when you try to clean them and glue them. But the sculpts are nice and their style is ...deliciously(.gif)... over the top. I'm glad they aren't too cheesecakey.

I like those minis a lot. Probably won't like their prices, though. I'll wait a year and see what the online discount ers can sell them for.

New models are much better than any Kickstarter release. I built up their taiphan models if you want to see them. Snake one was pretty cool.

There's also a scifi version of those plate mail ladies so they've got access to guns if you want to use them as sisters.
Spoiler:

I have a box I've been sitting on for a few weeks now that I'm going to try and record today if I have time.

Also there's new Jailbirds!

Roxy Rumble, a new heroine...
Spoiler:

The Wild Dogs, who would make a great bunch of Escher stand-ins...

Did they ever get that cathedral out?

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Hmm, I like the old Jailbirds and have some. These, I don't know. I think they put too much of their newer (TGG 2) sculpts into them. Too overdone, even for Raging Heroes.

Edit: New models without Kickstarter is nice, though.

Meh. Way too little skin. How is that much armor going to offer any protection?

I think it's their Morathi knock-off. It's a pretty recent addition, I believe.

They offer some pretty good sales when the minis come out...maybe slightly higher than GW prices..which for a boutique caster is a hell of a deal.

Just be warned she's a lot smaller than Morathi.

She comes with a 40mm base for the larger snake version after all. Which I guess would make her a bit less of a target.

Size wise I'd say Taiphan is more in line with a Daemon Prince. Nice model though.

I provided them with the right address 4 times.

Basic snake isn't all that large. I'd use her as a daemon prince more than anything else. After all she comes with a 40mm base!

I'd recommend it though, as it was a nice kit and was a fun one to build. Can't speak for painting it yet...

Yup, their heads are sure greater than their torsos. Was the sculptor blind or that unfamiliar with human anatomy? It's specially baffling seeing Taipan mini linked below has much more sensible proportions (at least in human form, snake one looks wonky too) and is far better looking design thanks to that.

And it's not just anatomy, the magazines in the pistols (?) the SF version has is one of the most comically wrong gun parts I have ever seen in a model, right up there with Forge World upside-down bolters. Not just shape, they look like 'heroic' GW scale part attached to more sensibly scaled handgun. I especially like how ejection port looks quater size of actual bullet and is placed way too far to the rear...

Well, the anatomy/proportions are insane. Looks like skeleton warriors might fit in the armour, and the heads are big as helmets in comparison.
But models this small will need to have weird proportions to make sense on the gameboard. Heroic scale looks way more interesting than true scale.
Just look at infinity -they have lots of cool realistic models, and its uterly boring and wasted unless you have them pro-painted and displayed up on a painting forum (and even then, you get bored after a dozen models).

Its a fact in most depicting art -you dont paint/sculpt it as it is, you need paint/sculpt it to trick the eye in seeing what it is.
For these models, anyone that see them on the gaming board or on a painting forum, would instantly recognise their function and general concept.

Yeah, Raging heroes stuff is not any worse proportioned than GW stuff...which is particularly painful. Especially Guardsman

I mean..that las-gun is effectively 6 feet long and the magazine is the size of his comically giant head. Space Marines are now only slightly better than they used to be.

If you play GW games or use GW Miniatures then I cant imagine why you would ever complain about any company having weird proportions or ridiculous sized guns.

Meh. That "Real Soldier"'s backpack is comically oversized and that gun barrel is going to break before the first game. Torso detail is OK, but those pants have zero depth in their sculpting. Pretty terrible model and probably not even available in plastic.

If that picture proves one thing it's that different styles and scales don't match very well. Raging Heroes deliberately tries to sell alternative Warhammer models, and it's not a bad thing to edge their proportions closer to GW's to avoid conflicting visuals. It's actually a selling point.

Hawkeye and Daisy are favorites of mine as well.

I'm trying to figure out what all that stuff is they're carrying. Is is just ammo, or excessive amounts of bling?

Possibly both...

Sure it is a joke, but the point is real. Tabletop minis proportions should be tailored to their purpose and not be slaves to realism.

On that note, I love the Raging Heroes Paladin chicks, apart from their wastes. I think that waste size is fine for the Jailbirds, but for the Paladins I want to see more something more load-bearing.

Pretty nice style. Better than some of their other stuff-- at least I can say that sure thy're hit or miss, but when they hit, they really hit.

Still too busy for my tastes and some of the weapons are becoming comically oversized at this point. I half expect Kimmie to tip over trying to hold that fist raised like that.

Quite surprised they're doing non-KS releases all of the sudden. I've been getting emails on an almost daily basis from them now and I thought it was all KS stuff they're finally getting around to releasing normally.

They were releasing miniatures before they start their first Kickstarter, you know.

This is their usual business. Also, I believe they are pretty much aware of the rage and hate still lingering on the net about their various Kickstarters. The Warstage one is still ongoing, and it's not really doing well. So better do it the old way, at least the only bad that can happen is people not liking their miniatures and just not buying them.

Hehehehe, sorry, you must be new here when it comes to Raging Heroes and some of the Dakkanauts, including me.

I am aware of that they were an actual somewhat punctual company before KS, I have the original Kurganova sisters, in metal, along with the bulldog. It was that quality that made me back their first KS aeons ago.

I'm just surprised that they managed to move beyond the KS stage, as some companies get stuck in there and always need another KS to release new models.

Good on them I suppose.

And got a KS email from them just now, their next KS is coming this Fall.

I like them a bit more now, they're repping BLOOD MACHINES from Carpenter Brut, awww yissss!

Definately have to agree here. GW's weapons and hands are rediculously proportioned. Also aside from Juan Diaz i don't think anyone at GW knows what an actual woman looks like. Their female sculpts are all pretty manly and rediculous bar a few.

I liked TGG1. but fell out of love with them in TGG2.. Hope we get more werewolves...
