Yup, their heads are sure greater than their torsos. Was the sculptor blind or that unfamiliar with human anatomy? It's specially baffling seeing Taipan mini linked below has much more sensible proportions (at least in human form, snake one looks wonky too) and is far better looking design thanks to that.

And it's not just anatomy, the magazines in the pistols (?) the SF version has is one of the most comically wrong gun parts I have ever seen in a model, right up there with Forge World upside-down bolters. Not just shape, they look like 'heroic' GW scale part attached to more sensibly scaled handgun. I especially like how ejection port looks quater size of actual bullet and is placed way too far to the rear...

Yeah, Raging heroes stuff is not any worse proportioned than GW stuff...which is particularly painful. Especially Guardsman

I mean..that las-gun is effectively 6 feet long and the magazine is the size of his comically giant head. Space Marines are now only slightly better than they used to be.

If you play GW games or use GW Miniatures then I cant imagine why you would ever complain about any company having weird proportions or ridiculous sized guns.

Definately have to agree here. GW's weapons and hands are rediculously proportioned. Also aside from Juan Diaz i don't think anyone at GW knows what an actual woman looks like. Their female sculpts are all pretty manly and rediculous bar a few.

Old Metal Escher and new Escher aren't bad... They at least register as female...

I was surprised to see their new message via KS. I thought they wanted all traffic and conversation directed to their website.

In the end I was pretty satisfied with what I got from TGG2. Once things wanted to go together they pretty much stayed that way.

The post-KS releases have been nice and much more cooperative to build. Even KS models I've gotten at retail had less issues than the actual KS versions (yeah, I double dipped on some of them).

No, I've been following their kickstarters from the first one and I keep receiving their advertisements for their website on a regular basis. They never stopped.

Their site is always full of their annoying pop up messages telling mister X has bought product Y that you don't care about. But yeah, if you don't mind all of this, the new miniatures are indeed nice.

"Heroic Scale" was completely awful, but it has been dying off for years now. It's really not fair to bring up a comparison that's probably nearly twenty years old when what they make now is extremely different. Meanwhile, Games Workshop has produced so few female miniatures. Are you referring to the Juan Diaz Daemonettes? Aside from Arwen, they're the only female miniatures I can find that he's made. And they really, really aren't what "actual women" look like. New Celestine, Severina Raine, female Genestealer Cultists, and the female Sequitors are much, much more realistic than anything by Juan Diaz or Raging Heroes.

Does anyone here has access to the latest "update" on their terrain kickstarter project?
Since I got kicked out of the project for being "too negative" I still watch that disaster from time to time and enjoy the show.
Unfortunately they seem to have sent a direct e-mail to backers and not use the KS update system.

So... does anybody want to help a friend

I should hope not - they're demons, after all. And ironically those Juan Diaz ones look far too feminine. Over the years there's been a few female characters for various factions, and they all looked sufficiently feminine to me, whether that be a dark elf sorceress, the high elf everqueen, a dwarf queen, sisters of battle ... Hairtyles have a lot to do with it, but then that's true in real life too.

I think that requires some serious capital to do. They may not have the income flow to support that...maybe another kickstarter?

I thought there was talks of a third campaign, but it kinda sounded like it was going to be used to fund the cathedral terrain that seems stuck in development hell currently.

They haven't really talked about what they're planning on kickstarting outside of their game though, have they?

Raging Heroes makes good looking models, just never ever invest in their kickstarters because they all seem to be riddled with problems and instead just wait for the models to hit the store itself.

I was... pretty happy with my TGG2 pledge. Lots of freebies and once I figured out how to get the figures cleaned up they were no problem at all.

Plus the newer store models don't have many of those same problems.

The strong point of these not-GW snake ladies is certainly their dynamism. Raging Heroes sure knows how to play with their snake bodies...I'm betting there is no bone inside of those.

Otherwise, GW's plastic kit is already doing the job, IMHO. Raging Heroes kits aren't interesting unless taken in their so called "bundles".Even so it's sometimes arguable.

Just that IIRC. But it'll be their most ambitious one to date, as the list of features they want to incorporate into their rules is quite staggering.

I just hope it also contains a decent fluff section.

My TGG2 was a fething mess of unlabelled bags. I don't even know if they sent me everything, because I bought someone else out, and then they only sent me one set of the freebies, and then told me that they'd send me the others "later" because they were doing those only as 1 per backer. And the whole experience was just so horrible in the end I never even opened all of the packages.

How did you manage to clean them up? I've got figures that have been left out "to air" for over a year and they're still a greasy-feeling mess.

Oh, and the relentlessly constant rate of repetitive emails I've been getting spammed with lately made me have to unsub from their mailing list. One email per release, please, not fething five-to-five hundred.

Do you think it'll come with a digital artbook?

Seconding this question as likewise mine are airing out still in some staggered containers and I have a nice bottle of Simple Green as well but haven't brought myself to attempt the cleaning of em.

I tried the simple green route. Didn't seem to make much difference, but probably got them clean still.

I ended up spraying a matte sealer on them after that and it seemed to do the job. I'd had similar issues with Prodos models being slimy/sticky and it seemed to solve the issue.

Don't know if it was just my batch or what but it worked.

..I'd forgotten about all those baggies though. You didn't have to remind me!

Raging Heroes puts instructions in their stuff these days with regards to how to deal with the resin: Air out five to seven days at the very least, then clean the resin with simple green and a soft brush, repeat until it is no longer greasy.

What worked for me was priming, then removing the primer with simple green, then drying and priming again.

Aka a not space marine....sister....

It's how they were announced in the latest newsletter: "What's tougher than Marines in Space?"

With a name like "Vanquishers" I initially thought these were their ersatz-Terminators, would've made more sense.

Its the usual raging heroes formula. More complicated poses and bigger boobs. That's pretty much the same for each of their 'GW-inspired' lines.

Oh no, those can't possibly be female, they aren't in heels. RH wouldn't ever release something with shoes so uninspired as flats on a female miniature and anyone who complains is simply trying to drag the company's vision through the mud.

My soap box is made of fething salt here. I argued with these dinks for ages to try and get my money back when they changed from booted sisters to their final product, and now, oh look there IS interest in such things.

Last thing I'll say, don't kickstart them, you have no real idea what they'll look like by the end no matter how detailed they look now.

They are developing and releasing models outside of a KS campaign again, so that's something. This may be them striking whilst the iron is still heating up, getting out as much as possible before GW drops the revamped Sororitas range later this year and steals the thunder of most third party not-sisters companies out there.

On the models: They have a nice chunk and mass to them, but the poses some of the models have don't work for me. RH likes to use certain dynamic poses a lot, which is supposed to make the models pop and more unique, but for me personally, it makes them look more alike with their models from other ranges, as certain poses just keep popping up all the time. There's also the feeling that these are great for a one-off squad, but not for army building, as every squad would look the same. Unless these have more options for arms and heads included?

YMMV obv.

After building the new chaos marines..these girls look positively bare.

I will happily use them for a one off squad or kill team or ..whatever. But I hate painting the same damn thing over and over again..my armies look pretty hodge podge.

And, apart from the delay..(which admittedly I've become numb to because of every ks Ive ever backed being astoundingly late) I was super pleased with the results of all their kickstarters. I'll back the next one.

These don't look like space marines to me, at least not any more than Shieldwolf's Primaris-sized space sisters. They do look cool, though.

Still, I was promised salty tears. :.(

I would hope its not a KS because they realised they have burned a gak load of people with the last 3? KS nightmares.
