As mentioned earlier in the thread, a a multi-part Black Knight has been released by Creative Juggernaut, and a Stormcrow is in the works (although it's still not clear if they are plastic).

fair warning, the hells horses where opposed to Alaric so I expect "bad stuff" to happen to them :(

They ought to be alright in the short to medium term. Alaric seems like more of a conqueror than a destroyer- as long as you're willing to accept him as your ilclan ilKhan, you can keep your clan. Even if it has been obliterated

Y'know, they ought to come out with a boxed set of "one of everything" - one for Clan, one for Inner Sphere. Throw in Alpha Strike cards and laminated sheets for the Special Edition of it.

I'd buy it.

It never ends well

There's so many mechs though. Even for a Cluster/Battalion box at less than $5 USD a mech?

Incidentally at $5 USD a mech that's slightly less than $1 a mech to produce (accounting for the cost of packaging, packing, etc). It makes me wonder at the volume they must be running at!

I'm not sure if they're allowed to - doesn't their licence (or whatever it is) limit them to Alpha Strike Lance / Star boxes?

If that were true then they wouldn't be selling the Creative Juggernaught mechs individually?

Maybe Creative Juggernaut has a different license and using Catalyst's storefront is both allowed and enables them to fill that gap.

I was sure they'd made a comment / statement to that effect, but I can't find it now. The closest I can find is this:

Q: Are you coordinating with Iron Wind Metals on what you are producing?

A: The short answer is no, these minis will fulfill a very different role amid the product line. These new minis are being produced for CGL, delivered to CGL, and sold by CGL - all with the intention of strengthening the IP as a whole. IWM has their own license for metal miniatures, their own production schedule with quarterly releases of premium metal miniatures - and a massive library of fantastic miniatures. I'd be stunned if IWM saw any impact from this at all, and coordinating schedules and releases for something like this isn't necessary. Our goal at this point is proving the possibilities and viability for Catalyst of producing variants in plastic. We will be using Catalyst's own 3D models to ensure that ours are fully compatible (and scaled correctly) with the current generation of box set miniatures. At this point we're trying to prove the concept. We hope, at some point, to be producing new BattleMechs and vehicles in support of the game, but much will depend on the profitability and practicality of such releases.

They are... or will be. There is an Elemental Star boxed set that was part of the KS that will be available alongside everything else once everything is available.

Don't know the dates on the retail side of things though, sorry.

The Clan Elemental Star was KS Wave 1, so retail stores have already had stock of it (and some stores in the UK still have them). They should be restocked when Wave 2 arrives. There's also two Points / bases in the main Clan Invasion boxset.

Do we have an idea what retail price will be for these lance/star packs? I assume the stars will be slightly more expensive. I just recently got interested in Battletech again after vomiting all GW related products I owned onto eBay. Im already impatient on these new mech packs, I cant imagine waiting for three years haha.

US backers have been receiving address confirmation e-mails since last week. It's kind of an update.

Yep - the updates should be coming from the shipping partners now. This is what ShipQuest said on the 10th:

BattleTech: Clan Invasion (Wave 2)
As you guys know, we’ll soon be fulfilling the second wave of the super popular BattleTech: Clan Invasion which is a massive (massive!) fulfilment project. Our aim is to begin fulfilling in both the UK and EU the week commencing the 16th of August. To make this all go as smoothly as possible, we’ll be splitting the orders into 3 phases:

PHASE 1: This will largely be made up of the smaller orders that can hopefully be completed within a week.

PHASE 2: Will be mid level orders in terms of amount of items included. These orders will take longer to move through Project Data Analysis and will obviously take longer to pack.

PHASE 3: Primarily the largest orders, potentially requiring multiple boxes for individual orders. Again, this will take more time to move through Project Data Analysis and to pick and pack.

We’re hoping the whole process will take about 3-4 weeks to complete so please be patient and awesome. This is a big one for us and we’re so excited to get it underway.

They're $5 US per miniature, so $20 for Inner Sphere, $25 for Clan and $30 for ComStar.

Are Salvage Boxes still Wave 1 clan, or are they fully mixed?

Can we have links to the ShipQuest info please.

From the KS FAQ:
What Minis are the Salvage Boxes drawn from?

They will be drawn from the Clan Invasion and the first 2-4 Clan Star Packs. Basically, the ones that will be done in time for the First Wave of product.

All Salvage Box 'Mechs will be Clan.
