Mhm... i'm not sure whether i like the town buildings in openlock format. On the one hand the format seems a little bit limiting... on the other hand MORE options and easier to print...

guys you make my life more difficult... but i guess it will be an all in... again.

btw. are you in the future planing some sci-fi stuff again?

The whole "build the thing everytime you use it" is very unappealing. Things in this many pieces never look good. Too many seams. Just putting it together for painting becomes and engineering project. And this is coming from somebody who has purchased a big bundle from you and just finished filling the gaps on several buildings I had to split for printing.

This is modular city building with the Clorehaven building tiles, so you can build your own buildings to your own design with the pieces in this Kickstarter. You don't have to tear it apart after you use it, but you can if you want to.

Nice to see that you expanded your OP to include the pledge levels and how everything turns out.

Have you thought about adding links to your previous kickstarters and showing off some decent pics of some of your other terrain with models to show both your scaling and the quality of your designs (making clear of course that they are not available during this campaign)?

I'm not crazy about the open lock system, but I do really like the goblin models and stretch goals. I got the dwarves and wood elf sets last time and bought my first printer with it. I cannot stress how much I like what you guys released. This will be an all in for me as well. Have you thought about doing models with a high elf theme?

I gotta agree about open lock for wargaming terrain. I'd personally just have it chopped reasonable sized pieces for the most common printers (ender 3 style). I tried printing some open lock pieces and really once I have it together I'm never going to want to take it apart down to its components so it was kinda wasted print time.

I do see the appeal for dungeon crawls and RPGs though. Just not wargaming terrain.

It's nice that they're at least doing the option for people who DO like open lock so that there's something out there. Most of the open lock stuff I've seen isn't buildings so much as it is dungeon layouts and such.

Plus, it's not like Printable Scenery has any lack of non-open lock!

I like the modularness of it. Can't you just glue the parts together instead of using the open lock clips and then just print out as many parts as you need to build whatever you want? You can use the clips to hold stuff in place for when you're figuring out what goes where and also to make a stronger bond when you glue it together.

The problem is that the seams are obvious, even if you glue it. And if you don't get the heat settings just right, one piece will be a little shorter than the other side, which makes lining them up very hard.

@Tagony Yeah we have thought about doing a high elf theme at some point.

@Gallahad there are columns which you can intersperse amongst the walls to hid the seams. We do make seamless buildings as well in our other ranges.

I think I managed to convince my friend to buy this thanks to that dnd module. I'm super excited.

I can't wait to see how the cave stuff scales for some Gloomspite Gitz themed terrain as well.

Clorehaven sees the addition of the Ruined Tudor Walls, Ruined Schist Walls, Ruined Stone and Wood Floors and Ramshackle Tudor Walls. These are great for creating custom modular ruins and are even better combined with the Clorehaven Barricades and Clorehaven Rubble to create large ruined towns.

When does this late pledge option go away from your site? I am trying to convince my friend who actually owns a 3D printer to go in on it with me, but if I need to hurry I would like to know. lol
