Kinda xD. I got this one because it happened to be released just at the moment when My Mars original croaked and Amazon decided to reimburse it to me in full, so...

This is the regular sized, 4k SLA screen one.

First real prints on the Mars 3, 50 microns per layer, no AA, and they look crisp AF (other than the layering, of course, but that's 50 microns for ya):

Great looking models. I think the predator style ones are meant to be female? It’s hard to tell as the sculptor has been really subtle about it…

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Cheers for the test prints, next year I'll probably pick up a Mars 3 (Pro?) unless the Saturn drops enough in price to justify it, but its price seems more stable than the Martian line. Maybe Jupiter will drive it down a bit? Or is a Saturn 2 headed our way, you figure? I'm pretty out of touch with the market at large.

Well, with everything that's been going on (I got surgery, our project went live, I finished translating a bigass Alien RPG book and started another one from a different line) I feel I've been neglecting this thread >_>, so let's fix that, shall we?

Ok, let's see... I painted some of Papsikels' prints:

Then I printed the same model with the same supports and layer height in both the Mars 2 Pro and the Mars 3, to compare, and honestly, at 50 microns with no AA, the differences are mostly minimal...

...specifically, on Artisan Ghuild's minis, which are fantastically well made for printing in current generation printers and that make sure that their detail shows. So... yeah, I probably should have tried with something worse, like a downscaled mini or the like, to see how far you can reach. Still, it shows once again that you need to sculpt for the medium.

Then I printed this bad boy:

And dang but it's enormous!

Also, primed:

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I also bought a couple of Unseen Btech models off Cults3d, a Phoenix Hawk and a Wasp, and the certainly look the part:

Size wise they're also pretty on point with the new Catalyst stuff:

And detail wise... well, let me say, once again, feth PALLADIUM. There.

Next, seeing as I've been printing a full company of Davion Guards for Btech, I felt I needed some more kuritan mechs to field, so I printed these guys:

A Mauler, because I've always loved the design since the Btech Compendium, even though it's kinda gak:

And a reimagined Unseen Warhammer, because, once again, feth PALLADIUM WITH A SPROCKET.

I actually printed two of each, because I had them already supported and sliced, so why not. Anyways, size wise they sem to match okish with the Catalyst plastics:

And then primed, so that details show up better:

Battletech scale, so basically AT scale, about 1/285.

Depending on the weight scale (mechs are light, medium, heavy or assault), but they're in the same ballpark as knights, and actually I've used them as such some times ^^

Some more stuff: size comparison of the new Aeronautica Imperialis SM stuff with the ones I have printed!

Size-wise, I'd say the Thawk is just about perfect and the other one is a tad too big, but workable enough.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
And Malika2's really pretty new AT scale buildings, in FDM and resin!

Unassembled:

Assembled:

Scale:

All in all, the FDM one should have printed better, but it kinda got problems trying to eat the mesh, although I know FDM slicers can be very finicky.

Anyways, I primed both and printed the FDM one with some added flock to hide some of the issues:

The other is still only primed, though:

Test print of some tiny space elves for Epic:

As always, bare resin is tricky, but it looks better the moment you prime it. The only real problem of these minis is that the stretched arms with shuricats are really, really fragile.

Absolutely gorgeous models, and comparatively easy to paint because of it:

Some size comparisons with Warmaster models (Epic is tiny, heh):

Hahahah, thanks!

Yeah, I'm pretty happy with the current configuration for the regular Elegoo Grey resin.I bought two new sets from two different manufacturers (one local, which I hope will be good, as I'd prefer to buy as local as possible), and another chinese which was on offer and I've had them recommended. We'll see.

This weekend I've printed some teensy tiny Aspects:

Have you had any problems with warpage of the slender barrels? Any tips on controlling it? I have found that the Elegoo resin I’m using is pretty good for warm water reshaping, but best to avoid in the first place

Not usually, no, but I print quite slow in general so that should reduce the risk. When it has happened (sometimes before curing thin swords and things like that want to curly into themselves) the usual hot/cold water combo has worked.

The sculpts are absolutely superb, let me tell you (bought at Cults3d from Lord Chronos, in case you're interested).

Primed the Aspect Warriors, and the detail is mind blowing:

All the separate teeth on those chainswords, good god!

And to give the proper scale, "banana for scale":

All printed in the same batch, on my Mars 2 Pro at 20 microns per layer with Elegoo Grey resin and AA 2.

Possible explanation for that mishap:

3D-printer accessed Skyrim mods prior printing as the female alien looks like my Skyrim characters.

Jokes aside, great models.

Have you already printed the whole Predator team? I would like to see Carl Weathers who starred in MK X as a skin for Jax.

Not really, I didn't have anything immediate to use the for, so the ones I printed were more to test the Mars 3.

Anyways, I printed the Reapers and the Dragons:

So I've been printing more little space elfs:

Some transports:

Some tanks (also transports ):

As I didn't find good Vyper models (the ones I did find were either too basic, designed for fdm, or just rescaled stuff waaaay too fiddly), I decided to rescale some old schoo Falcons that I found, which are interestingly looking:

First I tested a print with a new resin I bought produced locally, which is more bendy and less rigid than the regular Elegoo stuff:

I only managed to print correctly 2 out of 12, but that's mostly due to the cold and to me not being used to the new resin. In is cool that it retains a bit of springiness even after cured, though. So, interesting, all in all.

Now, size wise they look like this, which I think is adequate for Vyper proxies:

And then I printed another batch with the regular resin:

Automatically Appended Next Post:
And then, some super heavy stuff:

...and two scout titans ^^

I always liked Epic Eldar vehicles back in my 'flipping through White Dwarf in the '90s' days, the aesthetic looks really great en mass. And damn if you haven't amassed them! Good stuff that has me stupidly wondering about printing up that Saim-Hann armored company of my dreams

Yeah, the general look is really appealing. And the comparison with the human stuff is nice, too!

Also, scale:
