I AM A MARINE PLAYER

"Unimaginably ancient xenos artefact somewhere on the planet, hive fleet poised above our heads, hidden 'stealer broods making an early start....and now a bloody Chaos cult crawling out of the woodwork just in case we were bored. Welcome to my world, Ciaphas."
Inquisitor Amberley Vail, Ordo Xenos

"I will admit that some Primachs like Russ or Horus could have a chance against an unarmed 12 year old novice but, a full Battle Sister??!! One to one? In close combat? Perhaps three Primarchs fighting together... but just one Primarch?" da001

Looks very similar to the terrain board that Luke from Lukesaps was making, very nice job if you did it , kudos if you had him do it.

I'm seeing Black Scorpion here, is that correct?

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

No, there's no connection between us and Black Scorpion, though they do indeed have a fantasy pirate miniatures range. We're Dead Earth Games, this being our second game following Across the Dead Earth and based on that system.

My wife and I are in - but with only eight days to go, not looking too good.

Which is a damned shame, I want the undead and the bokor.

The reason I bought rules and became a real wargamer was because I wanted a properly thought out structure to govern the action instead of just making things up as I went along.

Looking at it the other way, it's only been running 3 days so is just about on track. Though a lot tighter than I would like!

Thanks very much for backing!

Yeah... pretty sure you may have cut it too close. (My wife is definitely of the opinion that you cut it too close.)

I think you need a bit more exposure to pull off a really short KS, or be very limited in scale.

This thread is the only reason that I know about the project - and it was not on the front page of the forum when I noticed it.

I posted on the Reaper forums about this - there are a fair number of undead pirate fans among our number.

Hopefully that gives you a boost.

I have also let other folks in my game groups know - but not with much success - Megan isn't the only person that thinks the notice was too short.

Easier for Megan and I than others, at least - we were already familiar because of your previous dwarf pirate KS. (My wife is currently playing a halfling pirate witch... but your female dwarf pirate made the choice a close one.)

I'll reply to your post on Reaper too as I signed up there . Thanks for sharing with people. You and Megan may well be right, but I'm going to put all my effort into getting this out to as many people as possible this weekend and will be adding some videos of the actual gameplay too.

This looks great, you can never have enough pirates.

I wanted to back but apparently not allowed to use my Discover card for UK campaigns... will back later tonight with a different card

I think it’s well on track and nothing to worry about at present.
Over half way with plenty of time left.
And there’s always the final 48 push, where watchers make a final decision.

Love some of the models, though I’ve already got two Black Scorpion crews so not sure I can justify a third.

Thanks! Always room on the shelf for the right minis though...also make sure to check out our beta rules as Black Scorpion minis will work great.

Great! We're hoping to build a real community of players around this one, and I'll be supporting it every way I can, including travelling to clubs, shows and shops all over the UK.

Dammit, I missed out on this. I don't suppose there is a late backer option available at all?
