Hey I'm a little new to Dakka but I've been using the site as a resource for long time so thank everyone but here's my question....

If/When the emperor does become an actual "real" god, will he be like the eldar gods; who had actual personalities...... or would he end up being like the big 4 (acting on whatever emotion formed them) who are actual gods>?????

There is no definitive answer to this, because GW has been purposefully vague on this subject.

I don't think the emperor will ascend to godhood anytime soon in the lore, though in can be argued that his massive presence in the warp already makes him some form of deity. After all he created a sort of imperial demon prince in celestine.

Now there are several speculations as to what is going to happen if the physical form of the emperor on the golden throne were to finally die.

One theory is that he would become a full fledged warp god akin to the big 4, but most likely not bound in the same way to very specific primal emotions like them.

There is also the possibility that if his physical form on the throne dies, his body would eventually regenerate since the emperor is a perpetual, though this would likely cause the webway gate beneath the golden throne to open up and cause a massive demon invasion on terra.

Another theory is that if his physical form dies, another eye of terror would open up with terra in its center and humanity would be fethed.

There is also the star child theory, wich in a way ties to the emperor becoming a god upon death....or part of his consciousness will be reborn as the star child....something like that.

GW obviously could write this however they see fit, but I personally would believe that, since the emperor was once a (sort of) mortal being, that he would keep part of his personality.

There is also my theory in which the Emperor has been a god for most, of not the whole time. He just tries to make everyone secular to take away power from the chaos gods.

I reckon if he "becomes a God" it will be because he has died, and the massive Warp-imprint of mankind will finally take form as a true God-Emperor. However, I think the Emperor as "man" (composite made of the souls of a thousand shaman) and the Emperor as God will be two very different beings, and the Emperor as God is likely to be illogical, zealous and insane, obsessed with suffering and damnation as the Imperial Cult is.The true Emperor will be gone at that stage, his vision ultimately crushed in failure.

Alternative alternative.
The man-emperor allready is infuesd with the warpimprint of thousands, and allready became a slowly a god via psychich feedback.
