I’ve gotten bit by the 1st Legion bug again. I know they’re not optimal with not having their full rules and I know Ironwing is tricky to use at best. But tanks. Tanks with knightly infantry support. I love it.

So I want to bring it to Adepticon next year and not get steamrolled. If I go 0-3 that’s what I do every year but as long as I have fun with tanks I’d be ok with it.

I’ve been playing with lists and put this together. Cheap HQs to optimize tanks at a relatively low points level. Three scoring units still with a good mix of anti armor and anti infantry. I put an Avenger in there for anti air, the fact that I’m not using a super heavy and that I have the model.

I’m not a fan of Sicarans. I’ve used the one I have dozens of times and it only ever dies. I know it’s just my bad experience with it but I don’t want to buy more of a tank I don’t have good experience with. And I like the idea of a mounted infantry force supporting my tanks.

Also that doesnt actually get you any of the Dark Angels actual good rules. You need to use the Ironwing Protocol or Ravenwing Protocol RoW for those.

Looks like a fun list to me.

Never really had much success with autocannon predators personally (even in Ironwing). Might drop that squadron to slot in a dreadnought or two, reap the benefits of the tank hunter they get from the RoW.

EDIT - Looks like you have enough tanks to get a dreadnought talon.

If the Preds fail to do much I’d definitely sub in some Dreads.
