Cruising along painting my space marines from Dark Imperium. I'm on the inceptors now and am wondering about basing them. I can just glue them to their flying bases but then I'll have a big thing to transport around. I was thinking I might try to find an alternate method to attach them and am wondering what others have done. I was thinking perhaps a rare earth magnet on the base and on the marine, but was looking for other clever ideas.

In the far future, the outlook is bleak....

Brass rod. Those flight stands are rubbish and you'll be cursing yourself in the long run after they keep falling off.

Definitely don't want to rely on the crappy connection that flight stick has to them. Mine are just standing on the base which you also don't want to do cause after a while you'll notice they just look like they're tripping over.

Not sure how you'd magnetise these guys but it's probably the best way to go about it.

I found that mine came off the flight stands, so I turned to rocks!

Note: I reposed the legs, so they look like they are jumping off rocks instead of being in the baby carrier pose:

Might have to look at those, they're a lot better than the terrible flight bases.
