this Mortarion's power scythe in actived,glowing green light.paints by Vallejo Green Fluo 70737.in a white base.
but its doesn't look good.

a lot of people use this paint to make glowing effects,but it doesn't seem easy.

Try a basecoat of valllejo game colour Livery green then thin coats of the fluorescent green.

The glowing effect might look more glowy if you do OSL - I find this link useful to explain it and why it helps the effect https://www.lightminiatures.com/tutorial-object-source-lighting-osl-and-other-lighting-effects/

Its not going to glow any better without a source of UV.




this is probably the most glowweee effect iv seen done in normal paints though i think you can supplement it with florescent paints and possibly day glow pigments.

It tends not to photograph well in “photographic” conditions. But it really looks good IRL. I’ve took one pic in my lightbox and one right after in the light.
