This is a really interesting idea, thank you guys.

I’m now getting ideas for running a gang RPG campaign that occasionally has battles. Or something like a fog-of-war RTS, where the gangs are moving between different territories and don’t know where each other is, until they run into them.

In fact, could have multiple potential missions active simultaneously and you have to assign gang members to each one; if no-one else takes the mission you’re fine, but if they do, uh-oh. It would also stop the “always take you best / most suitable guys” thing for each match. I’m thinking “these five are going to escort this VIP, whilst those five are going to raid that ammo store, etc.”

Actually makes me wonder why Necromunda isn't a board game where battles happen when two (or more) players end up in the same sector/resource. It would mean the campaign is front and centre and the battles either something to avoid or maneuver into. One part Diplomancy, one part Warhammer.

When you or someone sets up a campaign system that runs like this let me know.
I’m up for using it.
Mighty Empires kind of thing, but Better and more involved/board game like.

They could do a "Battles in the Underhive" style campaign expansion, a bit like Urban Conquest.

No separate cards for the Reds. Thought they might get some like the Ogryn Gang.

They still might, Ogryn cards did not come with the House of Chains book either if I recall correctly, but considerably later - even later than the Ogryn kit itself (which was already later than the book).

Sad thing is the Ogryn tactics were not printed in the book, like the House tactics. So if Redemptionists get separate tactics (and I guess they will at some point, it’s easy money for GW), they probably won’t be in the book...

They came out at the same time as the model kit.

Yeah. No sprue pic. I figure they're a bit like Lego minifigs - one torso, one set of legs, and mix'n'match. It'll be interesting to see if there are any weapon options at all.

Bad kit IMO, book has a price increase, dice aren't as good as the first round of Cawdor dice....whole release is a swing and miss if you ask me. Feeling a bit bad for Cawdor players at the moment.

Don't think they're bad kit, the weapon choice are pretty decent with new weapon and new bits like underslung flame thrower. They're bad if you want a Redemptionists gang, or a female ganger....

Well yes, if the Redemptionists box is unsuited to making a Redemptionist gang, that would make it a bad kit.

The sprue would be an awesome half of a full 10 man sprue.

Same for "Ogryn gang", except that Ogryn kit got terrible weapon choice.

Redemptionist sprue pics!

GW sure spared no expense with this sprue. Look at the wealth of options. The clear limitless ability to pose and tweak these minis. And so many different weapons! Amazing stuff.

Spoiler:

What a crock of absolute gak.

And for fun, rules for Clovis:
Spoiler:

And mostly for Baxx, the Cawdor weapon profiles (Page 1, Page 2).

as expected, the decorative sconce and robe collar took huge chunk of space. At least it looks like the arm joints is flat. 5 main options (and some combination of the 1 hand weapon) for 3 bodies is actually better than most other gang 2.0 release so far.

Also Rogue factoria pistol is new, would be a shame if it's happen to be another resin-exclusive.

Rogue Factoria pistol is the Rogue Factoria Overseer's weapon, so if they ever get around to making that alliance set...

You know how to make me happy! Cheers mate.

Looks like Klovis has a renamed 'Terrifying' special rule (Corpse Grinder Cult). Still easily avoided by Fast Shot skill, heavy weapons, blasts and templates. To clarify, the rule specifies 'Basic' action, and Shoot can in many situations be modified to 'Simple' or 'Double' action instead. Fight can also be modified to 'Simple'. Blast/template can shoot without targeting fighters (but this may on the other hand be an intentional weakness).

The "Autogun/Polearm" is still Reclaimed Autogun, not Autogun And holy sheet that's a load of reprinted profiles! 4 Polearms on the same page? The Sawn-off shotgun is incorrect (copy-pasted from regular Shotgun), except they remembered to add Plentiful haha. Inferno ammo (Shotgun) is incorrect (copy-pasted from solid ammo), but they remembered to add Limited. Who knows if the new Retributor (Shotgun ammo) is correct or not? Seems like it's Acid ammo with +1S, one less Ap and one point worse Am. Is this worth adding a new profile for? Anyway S4, Blaze & Scattershot is unprecedented and incredibly strong. Hand flamer, Laspistol, Stub gun and dumdum got combi... why? All copy-paste errors? If it actually was flamer combi, it should also gain Unstable.

Hmmm quick preview of the new rule:

-Cawdor and Redemptionist have their own leader/champ/ganger/juve. You can mix them, but gang alignment will be decided by majority of either Cawdor or Redemptionists , in case of a tie, Leader type will be used. (cawdor = law abiding, redemptionist = outlaw)

-Cawdor ganger and Juves (not Redemptionists ganger/juve) have new rule that allow you to have extra 1 fighter of these type in battle. this is great.

-New skill is meh

-New faith mechanic, Leader of the Cawdor/Redemptionist gang has to follow 1 of 4 paths, each path give bonus to faith dice generation and 6 unique "article of faith", faith dice are generated at the end of each round, any fighter can use faith dice to invoke an article of faiths, but will suffer penalty if it failed, also invoking an article of faith is a free action.

-Some notable article of faith :cannot be pinned, shoot through smoke+resistance to flash, remove ready marker from enemy, free move, free charge, suicide bombing, add D3 fighters, cannot go down or OOA until next activation end(then go OOA).

-Exterminator is a one shot 15 credit add on flamer for Autogun and shotgun, pretty good.

-Eviscerator had a built in weaker flamer (s3 instead of 4), but is much cheaper than a Flamer (90 credit compared to 130)

Also there're a note about making your own Path and cherry pick your article of faith, with permission from Abitrator (and probably everyone in the campaign), but you can only pick 4 article of faiths, and don't have the path bonus to faith dice generations.

Overall a better read than Van Saar book, typo aside. Cawdor is strong now.
