Malakev is a great model. Very 40K. I don’t hate Klovis, but think I’d prefer to convert one up.

They're pretty nice. And useful for all sorts of other things too.

i'm glad they recanonized the Redeemer Comics with Malakev's design.

Klovis looks kind of weird because of his pose. I would've preferred him with his Chainsword lowered instead.

Love Makalev, perfect for an inquistor's retinue. Though will he be a nightmare to assemble...?

Aye, that's a straight onto the buy pile... might hold off to getting my Redemptionists until they appear and just get the whole lot in one go.

Malakev is just great...Klovis will need a head swap into something less Carnivalesque.

Also on another note... they don't always note FW release on the weekly update, loads of Necromunda models and Blood Bowl figs have been advertised directly by FW themselves without note on the GW community page, so when they do show up on the weekly release splurge its not an unfair assumption to ponder if they are plastic. To suggest folks doing that are trolling is rather petty.

Whether or not it's intentional, it still feels like trolling, because that kind of speculation inherently contains one of two things; either denial of or ignorance of the release history of the the last few years.

It's not fair game to speculate about any guilder/brute/hired gun/alt. champion release being plastic unless the preview contains some incredibly extraordinary piece of evidence. Because none of them have been plastic! We've been through this a dozen times! Until/unless something drastically changes in GW's methodology we have all the information we need to determine what will or won't be a plastic Necromunda release.

Neither of which meet the definition of "trolling", but whatever...

Redeemer is fine. I prefer the old crazy loony Malakev to this one, but the new mini itself is very cool and definitely great for an Inquisitorial retinue or the RPGs.

I mean you could just roll your eyes and scroll on.

Also I just came back after about a three year absence.. so no idea about a past issue regarding this. I honestly just hadn't really taken note they had shown FW releases on the weekly charts before as I've been getting most of my release info up until this point direct from GW and FW pages on Facebook. Still feel its a bit harsh to suggest folks hoping for plastic is trolling, but whatever.

Back on thread, is Malakev allied with Klovis, its been that long since I read the comics I can't recall?

He's like his manservant or something.

OG Black Library release had him carrying Klovis' Big Book'o'Torture. Second version, the one I linked, had him looking unhinged with that axe. Now he's more machine now than man.

Dakka does have White Knights and is also rather infamous for it's Black Knights. A new edition brings out the passionate and not all of them are good at expressing themselves in written form. There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

If it's not trolling, it's at least meaninglsess to speculate if it's plastic. Anything special for Necromunda is resin.

And whether it is resin or plastic is not very interesting.

Has this Water Guild been a longtime part of the lore or is it a new addition this edition?

There were always guilds in the Lore that maintained the essential goods and services of the Hive but they weren’t meaningfully separated. You could take jobs for “guilders” to protect trade caravans but it was always implied to be entirely the merchant’s guild you interacted with and the others were either irrelevant or assumed to be subdivisions of the merchants.
Also, having actual models and defined stats is new.

Ok, thanks. Admittedly I've not followed Necromunda lore specifically but I hadn't heard of them (nor seen a model) in the various product lines from GW proper to BL.

One release that’s already been mentioned out of the dozens of releases that have been FW, and the Kal Jericho release was part of a special black library thing where they also reprinted all of the old Kal Jericho.l books.

How is it proof of anything?

It is a little frustrating to get two or three comments every release asking if it’s plastic and then complaining when it obviously isn’t going to be.

On another note, FW loves their tiny wires that are always pre-broken or break during cleaning.

Redeemer looks absolutely great, though for me the fuel hose will get trimmed off, it's terribly posed unfortunately, and mars an otherwise excellent mini.

Something about Malakev doesn't totally do it for me. Kinda agree that I like ax maniac more, but that screencap from the comics is also great. IDK if it's because he's less hunched over looking with that long old neck, or if it's because he's so sad and expressive in the comic cap, and also seems to have more arms. This guy just feels a bit... plain? Kinda want to think up a conversion, especially as I love the aesthetic of the pipes surrounding his face, and the lil baroque window-looking thingy on his shoulders. Might be a mini that benefits from a 360 view, but still, pretty neat, and anything cawdor is pretty much my fav part of 'munda.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Kal Jericho & Scabbs is currently the only set of Black Library characters which have been released for Necromunda, right?

If we're talking track records, that would imply they are a better example for Klovis/Malakev than the characters that have been created from scratch for Necromunda over the last few years.

It'll be interesting to see if their release is accompanied by a MTO reprint run of the comics Klovis featured in. Seems an open goal to score some extra revenue in.

Water Guild were always going to be resin, no arguments there, but these two at least have a chance of being a plastic release - I'm not overly worried about the material, though.

Actually Klovis and Malakev are actually being cast in Warmahordes Restic material.

There. Now everyone is ever so disappointed, and like a draw in a Blood Bowl game, we can all leave upon the Hoo Ha.
